weekday or weeken

I've not tried them yet but I shall do. but the whole idea is this.

I have a start date and and end date

I want to know howmany of the days are weekdays and how many are weekends.

Then I want to split that 5 weekdays are charged a "Weekprice"
That 2 weekend days are charged at "weekend price" and
if there a 1-4 days over they are charged at "single day price"

However if Mod is not what i thought then that could be my problem. So im going to look though whats been posted and see what i can come up with.
