I have noted several references to a supposed button within Form Design | Controls that is labeled wither "More" or "More Controls", but i sure as heck can't find it.

Might this simply be that since i am using Access 2021 the references were from earlier versions and are simply referencing that which is now identified as ActiveX controls?

Thank you folks! I feel like i have been on a snipe hunt...

‘More controls’ has always been about active x controls
Thank you! Given the bad reputation i have repeatedly read concerning ActiveX when it comes to running on other computers, and the friends i am creating this project for are on a MAC while i am on a PC, i think i best forget about them!

You do know that Access doesn't run on a Mac, right?

Just FYI, there are two companies I know of that provide tools for Access including native VBA controls. The first one has a complete design tool that is a huge help for newcomers. I have my own framework so I've never used this one but if I were starting from scratch, I would consider it.

Pat, I believe they can use something called Wine to run window apps?

Yes, there are a couple of emulators. Just pointing out that the Mac can't run Access directly.
