Hey Brian,

Forgive me if this isn't a very long or detailed email but I wanted to send you an email before you read anything on CarePages. We just got back from the hospital and we got some really bad news. Kate's cancer has come back and it is growing in her spinal column and is putting pressure on her spinal cord. We took her, today, cause for the past few days she has been having a hard time walking so we needed to find out what was going on. Her doctor, in Houston, told Julie, this morning, that he wanted her to take Kate and get scans done and he said that he wanted her to do it today. Well the scans came back to tell us about the tumors in the spinal column as well as a small tumor growing in her left lung. We are scheduled for an appointment, on Monday, at MD Anderson in Houston. I guess they will talk to us about what choices that left and if we are going to still pursue attacking this cancer. I told the doctor, today, that "it looks like we are up against the wall" and his answer back was "very much so." Things are not looks good and the conversations now are starting to have the "make her comfortable" tones to them. Like I said, I wanted to let you guys know before you read it on CarePages.
