I have a secured database (2003) that is working fine in Access 2010, (MDB & MDW) we now have to upgrade to 2016. When I try to open it says it can t open db from previous versions...is there any way to open and use this 2003 secured DB.....We really need this secured db. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

are you sure it is 2003 and not 2002 or earlier? If earlier you will need to upgrade it to 2003 (using access 2003) to continue to use it

2003 will run earlier databases, in much the same way 2007 will. So just because you have 2003 installed, does not mean the database is a 2003 database. That would only apply if you developed the app in 2003.

In access 2003 I opened the db I go into tools/database utilities/convert database- the only options to convert to is access 97 & 2000. access 2002-2003 is grayed out (so I assumed it is already 2003)
