Socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani wants to raise corporate taxes to pay for billions of dollars of freebies for New Yorkers, he told The Post in an exclusive sit-down.

I am not very bright. So I have to break things down in small numbers.

We start with 10 people who work and make $10.00 a year. However they only have the buying power of $9.00 a year because the things they buy have a corporate tax to give to three people $1.00 a year, that don’t work. They now have $1.00 buying power.

Now along comes a liberal who thinks he can get elected by taxing corps $2.00.

Now corps. Adds. Cost of production, adds profit, then adds the new tax

Now Workers has lest buying power so 1 worker gives up and joins the three

Non workers.

In the end workers have $8.50 buying power, non-workers have $.90 buying power.

No matter how I change the numbers I get the same results. Am I missing something.

I have no idea regarding your sanity. However,

A tax-and-spend(-someone else's money) liberal has only one answer... be a modern-day Robin Hood who steals from the rich and gives to the poor, which he does until one of the rich guys has him arrested. But the trick here is that the Sheriff is in cahoots with Robin Hood and gets a kickback or a campaign contribution. This more closely approaches the way things work.

Doc, don't be coy, you know very well I am crazy

Another crazy fact.

Some unknown actress from a couple of mediocre TV series that nobody with any sense watches, caused a car crash because she was "over the limit" for cocaine. Apparently the she had 241mcg of the stuff in her system when the legal limit is 50mcg.

How exactly can there be a legal limit for an illegal drug? Something that is illegal to sell, or buy but legal to use as long as you don't overdo it.

So snort away up to 50mcg folks. We can only presume that same as drink driving, this rule is to protect the judiciary if they get caught. The arresting officer can then mark their reading down after threats or a backhander. Then everyone is happy and goes on their way.

@Cotswold

When I look it up, there are many different origins of "limit of cocaine in blood" including several state laws. Some of the laws relate to driving. Some are absolute limits unrelated to specific activity.

I also found some limits of testing such that if a lab test got a number X that was less than the lab's limit, in essence they couldn't distinguish between "trace amount" and "false positive." It differs from lab to lab, too. That limit apparently derives from the fact that the only paper money that DOESN'T have traces of cocaine in it is from a stack of newly released, previously uncirculated bills. Particularly if the bill is a denomination larger then $10 (US) or the equivalent for other countries, old bills have likely been used in cash drug transactions with folks who sweat a lot and don't clean their hands too well. So you will have trace amounts of cocaine on your hands, which can get transferred to your metabolism easily the first time you scratch your nose.

Hey, Doc, is Monday April 7th good for you?

Cleared it with the boss... let us know if your plans change.

Tomorrow is grocery day so we can get what we need for a homemade jambalaya. I'll remind her to be careful with the pepper, which usually isn't that much anyway. Jambalaya isn't supposed to be a fiery-spicy dish... just a touch of pepper to betray its origins.

@Dick7Access - quick question. The normal recipe for Cajun-style jambalaya includes mushrooms but some folks really don't like them. It IS possible to not include them, but normally we have 'shrooms in the mix. Will that be a problem?

What time do you want me to arrive?
