I have searched these forums but still haven't found an answer that really gets me going.

I now have two clients who want a kind of diary/scheduler of appointments on their application.

The latest client runs a sunbed salon, and wants a form showing which of his six beds are booked and for what times. Each sunbed session is three minutes long and the day runs from 9am til 9pm - that is 864 different time slots for each day, and he is open seven days a week. And most of these slots will be empty.

Is there an easy way of doing this? Is there any way of doing this?

Since some of his clients just walk in without appointments, he wants to click on the time as they enter, to record the session.

PLEASE HELP!!

That is a great site - very useful.

But I don't think that the structure is my problem. It is getting to grips with 864 time slots per day. In fact it is worse than that since one of the sunbeds might be booked for 9am and another might be booked for 9.05am, which does not fit into a nice 3 minute slot.

What I need is to be able to enter the booking, and for it to populate a diary so that there is a visual representation of the booking.

Oh well - I guess I could just do a listing of the appointments, without showing the "unbooked" timeslots. So that the form would show:

9am Bed1 Mrs Smith 6mins
9.05 Bed3 Mr Bloggs 9mins

Unless anybody else can suggest an answer.

Why can't the database just output the appointments straight into Outlook and for the Outlook screen to be displayed in the database form?
