No, it can't possibly. All Application.GetOpenFileName is allow the user to select a workbook, then store that path in memory. That doesn't even so much as open the workbook. So it executed. But did it actually do anything or store anything?
Isaac, you are so eloquent! You speak both VBA AND/OR/XOR poetry! (And it was quite good too!)Once there was a Brit named Jon, With a website that was second to none. It was cool and fresh and oh so fun, We all loved to visit and be done.
With a click and a scroll we could explore, The vast expanse of Jon's website galore. From games to news to interesting lore, There was always something new to explore.
But the best part of Jon's site by far, Was the community that had come from near and far. They were friendly and kind, a shining star, In a world of harshness and constant war.
So here's to you, dear Jon, For creating a website that's second to none. We thank you for the hours of fun, And for the memories that will forever be won.
That's really cool - I like that because it seems like a reasonable balance. between nothing and "write my code for me" - a super super smart auto complete system, as I think Visual Studio is extremely smart but it can always be better.I think you might be reading more into the sequence that it just being a chance thing. In all probability, it could just as well given the best response on the first go, and got progressively worse!
There is something which I am trialing when programming in VSCode called CoPilot. It has been trained on tons of code like github and is a dedicated code autocompletion AI, unlike ChatGPT. You can enter in a comment in your code of what you want and it tries to create it.
Alexa "build me a table with VBA, this time normalize it please"
I've trained myself on React and JavaScript. It also meant I had to learn about npm, MaterialUI and a bunch of other stuff. What code are you having fun learning these days?
Yah .. 3d + AIIf it also integrated with IKEA you could end up with a nice new table in your living room!
That's awesome, Jon. Although I'm not currently looking, I do maintain awareness of current job postings pretty well and React is big stuff now.I've trained myself on React and JavaScript. It also meant I had to learn about npm, MaterialUI and a bunch of other stuff.
I've actually posted a screenshot of an app I was working on in a thread on this forum:
Learning JavaScript and React
Any JavaScript or react programmers here? I have recently gone through about 35 hours of JavaScript videos (probably taking me more like 70 hours). Now I am going through a React course. I am about 7 hours into it. JavaScript has a C style syntax and it's taking me some time to get used to it...www.access-programmers.co.uk
I've already done that. See here:Feed it a Newby question from Access World Forums. If it answers correctly, we can have a nice quiet Christmas!
How is good output distinguished from bad?Like I said earlier, its a skill. Learn little bits here and there to improve the probability of getting some good output.
