combine tables

Hi everyone! It's been a while. I've successfully dodged any additional programming for a few months, although now I have a simple, or so it seems, problem.

How in the heck do you combine tables? I have an excel file that I tried to import into my Access 2k db to an existing table and got errors. I checked the column headings and they were all correct. My primary key in my Access table was not a field in my excel table. Could that have been causing my problems?

Anyway. I ended up imported the excel file to a separate table in my access db. Now I have 2 tables with essentially the same information that I would like to combine into one table. Should be simple right?

All the field names match. Although there are some fields in one table that aren't in the other. So perhaps a merging of the tables? Anyone know? Thanks for any help!

Append one table onto another.
