Does this mean just 1 more year before you put your feet up?

Have a good day.

Brian

Have a good one Chris.

Thanks all.

As they say; getting old is not so good but it's a lot better than the alternative. :D

Chris.

Happy Belated Birthday Chris! :) I hope you had a great day.

Thanks, Vassago and Kryst51, and again sorry for the late reply; been busy. :)

Cheers,
Chris.

Chris, Just seeing the pictures of Brisbane on the news. Hope you're OK floodwise

Thanks, Rabbie, I’m okay but there could be upwards of 20,000 homes affected and we won’t really know till high tide tomorrow.

Reports wary but I have heard that power to the central business district of Brisbane has already been cut.

The two oil refineries in Brisbane are close to the mouth of the river so they should be okay… directly.
Their problem may be getting new stock in or refined stock out, don’t know.
Airport fuel could also be a problem. To my knowledge, both refineries share a joint user hydrant installation but that could run low if the refineries run low but, then again, I don’t know.

Food distribution could be a problem even for those not affected directly by the flood.
Panic buying of food does not help if power is cut on perishables.

Sightseers are becoming a problem; some even stop their car to take photographs.
Roads which are open should be reserved for emergency vehicles.

---------

Current status; the sun is shining, the birds are singing...... but the worst is yet to come.

Chris.
