Here's an even more odd fact: In the US, it's ok to kill an unborn child, but against the law to destroy an eagle egg...
Well here's another, a society that professes to uphold the sanctity of life regularly executes more of its own than any other country.
Here's another, a society that defends the freedom to uphold private gun ownership guaranteed by the constitution then denies woman the freedom to decide what they can do with their own bodies supposedly also written in the constitution.

Yes, well he's been informed of that faux pas before. Of course, that's no reason to avoid using the word, now is it?

The reason we all use the word "Chinkie" is because its a normal word in the UK, not offensive.

Here's another I learnt last night. The USA won't allow a nude male in the new James Bond film, so we (the British) are having to rewrite it for the prudish US market:rolleyes: and yet. . . . the USA is the biggest producer of child porn at 40% of the total on the internet. the UK accounts for 0.4%, Russia at 20%.

I think the FBI's tied up searching for terrorists at the minute, anyway there's only political mileage in the US for protecting the unborn and not the living.

So if we had a more relaxed attitude toward sexual matters, the sex abuse should decrease?

(If you want to look at naked men Col, why not rent a X rated movie? I'm sure there are people in the forum that could recomend some stud flicks for you...)

Am I missing something here, how can you claim to have an austere attitude towards sex when you have 40% of the worlds filthiest web sites.
And how odd that you're offended by male nudity but not child porn:mad:

I am in the UK and would regard "Chinkie" as offensive.

I'm guessing that uncle Col considered it austere that we didn't care to see a nude male in a movie...

How did you come to another of your braindead conclusions that I wasn't offended by child porn?

because you ignored one and protested vehemently about the other

You're one of a minority then

R u being funny with that?

R u suggesting that the Chinese are a minority and the fact they may be offended is par for the course.

China's a nation and not a race, it's no different to the term Brit, Limey, Pomme, etc. etc.

Carry on Richie, live in your own little twisted world, I'm not very motivated to get into another one of your stupid dialogues this morning...

Back to Col's post - It was an interesting point he made...

The word "Chinkie" generally refers to the Chinese meal, not the Chinese person making it.

Ken - It said on the BBC the other night that the "Americans" (I don't know who - maybe film distributors) had complained that the new Bond film 'Casino Royale' would have to be edited for the American market as showing a nude man in a USA cinema is not allowed under the US law.
Then they went on to demonstrate that the USA appears to do little to curb the huge child porn output.

Doesn't that strike one as a bit odd?

Col
