We need someone like Lee Marvin in "The Dirty Dozen" when he says to the dissenting soldier "Now look you little ba*tard, either you march or I'll beat your brains in" then when the soldier attacked Marvin, he floored the soldier and had his boot across his throat. He marched after that!

Fact is that these misguided souls can not be treated in a civilised manner because they are not civilised and a lot of them probably never will be.

So you must treat those than behave in an uncivilised manner in an uncivilised manner because that is all they will ever understand.

We are far too soft on the majority of criminals.

Why on earth should somebody get a lighter sentence if they plead guilty.

They should get extra if found guilty after pleading innocent for wasting time and money.

Now of course the're not. That's whay we let them out early so that can be rehab'd or re offend which is the more likely.

I believe the deterent is that prison is so bad they do not want to go back ever.

Bit like military prisons. 2 weeks is a lifetime (I am told)

Ok, they why not use the death penality. For those that can never be sent back to society. To me that is more humane. I would rather die then spen 80 yrs in jail as Bubba's boyfriend.

If people don't break the law, there's nothing to fear, whatever punishment is allocated. Punishment needs to be a deterrant, not like having your own cell with TV, phone etc like it is here now

I don't kill people, so if killers are lined up against a wall and shot, I don't give a toss (provided there's no doubt they're guilty) - they shouldn't do it.
