Can someone please suggest a way to bypass this problem.

---

You do not have the necessary permissions to use the <name> object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you. (Error 3033) You do not have the necessary permissions for the specified object. To change your permission assignments, see your system

You did not open it with the correct workgroup file.

dont have workgroup file

I dont think I have the workgroup file anymore. Is there a way to get around this?

No. You can try and export the db objects to a new db but I doubt that will remove the permissions since you are not signed in as an administrator with the correct workgroup file.

hellllp

So there is no possible way to bypass the workgroup permissions feature. Is there not any way to remove these permissions or to bypass?

Any suggestions on how to access the data.

Not without the correct workgroup file. Doing what you want would defeat the purpose of user security.

There are programs around that will break the Access workgroup security but they are not free. Search the forum and you will find a few threads discussing where to find and buy the software from.

well i did go to EverythingAccess.com and downloaded Access Password Retrieval Lite it says that the database has no password.

But I still cannot access the database :(

Is there a specific tool you can recommend?

Im looking through the forum but nothing that matches what I need :(

That site is blocked by my companies filters. Since you paid for the software you need to contact their support and ask how you can gain access to your db with the info it provided.

user = dba 'is the user name for your "missing" workgroup
ID = 4339 'is the id number the creator keyed when the user id was made

You are missing the password and the method to recreate the workgroup file but the 4339 id number should help you recreate it. I have never been locked so I can not tell you what to do next.

Please post back with your results. How you would rate the software you purchased @ http://www.thegrideon.com/accesspass.html and how would you rate the level of service they provided you to resolve your problem.

Hi all

I am having the same problem with the permissions. I have search but can't find anything that actually gets rid of the permissions. I have the AOPR (Advanced Office Password Recovery), which by the way is very very good. but that only gets rid of passwords.

it has also give me a user name and ID of the administrator but I don't know where to go from here.

Could anyone point me in the right direction for removing permissions.

Cheers

Kev
