Hi, I'm Richard. I'm a beginner with access and I wish to build a document management system for my project.

Having a project is a great way to learn.
The important first step is to work out the table structure required to store the information and run them by us in a new question.
Can save you a lot of time by avoiding going down the wrong path.

Welcome.

That sounds pretty ambitious for a beginner. I wonder whether it is wise to build something like this yourself when there are so many ready-made solutions available.
