Seems that Trump may get the last laugh, provided that the story below proves valid.
Federal Housing FHFA Director William Pulte sent the missive to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche, alleging that James had “falsified records” to get home loans for a property in Virginia that she claimed was her “principal residence” in 2023 — while still serving as a New York state prosecutor.
In February 2001, James also purchased a five-family dwelling in Brooklyn — but has “consistently misrepresented the same property as only having four units in both building permit applications and numerous mortgage documents and applications,” the letter noted.

Alvin Bragg may also soon find himself in hot water too for manipulating the law to get Trump.

This post is a continuation of several other threads were James, Bragg, and Willis all conspired to manufacture novel legal cases to get Trump. As time has progressed these cases have been fallening apart due to their stupidity and obvious partisan nature. Also recall the attempt to use the 14th Amendment to stop Trump, which also fell apart. These cases, as we learn about them, have also begun to expose that those attempting to get Trump, do not have clean hands themselves. The Scythe of justice may soon result in criminal prosecutions of James, Bragg, and Willis.

What Trump actually owns in New York

The irony of James actually being guilty (not yet adjudicated) of what she claimed Trump was guilty of is incredibly humorous.
“No matter how big, rich or powerful you think you are, no one is above the law.”

Those words by New York state Attorney General Letitia James echoed throughout the media, lionizing her after her office secured a judgment against Donald Trump for false business practices, including misrepresentations on loan documents.

They may echo even louder this week as James finds herself the subject of a criminal referral for committing alleged financial fraud to secure her own property loans.
For an attorney general who just prosecuted Trump for everything short of ripping a label off a mattress, the details in the referrals are particularly damning.
Indeed, the greatest danger is that the Letitia James standard could be applied to Letitia James in guaranteeing that “no one is above the law.”
The timing for James could not be worse.
The Trump civil case has languished on appeal for months with a long-overdue opinion.
The appellate argument did not go well for James in the case that resulted in a grotesque half-billion-dollar fine after no one lost a dime.

Will she be allowed to prosecute herself since she is the resident expert on "lying on loan applications"?

So if she is found guilty, presumably she'll suffer the same fate as Trump then?

In a Kafka sense. The charges placed by James against Trump were bogus. Furthermore, she used her position of authority to commit an illegal act against Trump. Though I'm not a lawyer, I suspect Trump's "conviction" will be overturned as an abuse of power by James. She on the other hand will actually get convicted and have to suffer the consequences of her illegal acts. As she said "No one is above the law." Karma is a bitch.

What should her fate be?
She should be find an amount proportional to what Trump was fined. His initial fine was something over $800 million. I don't know how it was calculated but NO victim was ever identified and the potential victims testified that they were not victimized so they apparently pulled the number our of their you know whats. The non-victims did their own due diligence and would be happy to do business with the Trump organization in the future. Then she needs to serve time because HER crimes actually did victimize the banks. Without her lies, she would have paid higher interest rates on all the loans and we won't even talk about all the laws she's breaking by lying about the number of units in her multi-unit building. RE law draws a line at 4 units. Anything above 4 units is a commercial property and has very different rules regarding insurance, taxes, and occupancy regulations.
