The governor of Texas is arranging a load of buses to take the influx of migrants to the steps of the Capital! Right at Joe Biden's door! What a brilliant move! (Time index 5min - The last part of the video)

This could get interesting! What will Biden do? He can't go off on one like Justin Trudeau in Canada because his efforts will be directed against the migrants, the very people he allowed to come into the country in the first place!

I love this!

It's voluntary, I can't see a lot of illegal aliens volunteering to make a political statement for a republican governor who wants to prevent their entry.

I can see enough of them volunteering to protest conditions. Some of them are pretty vocal. But heck, let's just wait and see.

Well when Biden used busses to ship the unvetted invaders to different States, he it did under the cover of night and certainly didn't announce it in advance. While this seems like good idea, I'm not so sure it will go over as well as it might have if it just happened and then we talked about it.

Abbott needs to keep his promise of finishing the wall in Texas, these folks are slippery and will move on if you let them.

I like Abbott how he doesn't give up. He just keeps going and going. Eventually Joe will get the point maybe.
I think busing them there is a very good idea. It FORCES Washington to ACTUALLY feel the impact of it.

As for voluntary, listen, they got a half-million a month to pick from. I'm pretty sure they can figure out a way to convince a few hundred or thousand a month to do it. There are a gazillion different approaches you could take, from offering them something trivial to just talking up the opportunity to live near the capitol, to providing information on resources and catering to them. I'm sure they'll find enough to make a media and/or visibility impact.

Weren't they using trucks for a wall or something.

The busing to DC is brilliant. Why should TX (and we in AZ) just sit here passive while Biden flies and buses thousands of totally government-dependent, mostly desperate individuals and dumps them in our little towns that haven't seen a visiting party greater than 10 people in a year ???

One more thing. Does anyone agree with me that the narcotics situation in this country is at an EXTREME right now, and ought to be headline news for a long time (a lot more than Climate Change deserves to be) until somebody does something about it?

This is huge. Fox needs to start focusing on it.

The Chinese are getting back at us for the Optimum wars even though we weren't involved

There is a legitimate backdrop here. The Biden administration is dispersing and dumping illegal immigrants through this country to hide these illegitimate acts from public scrutiny and view. But what is not being talked about are the impacts that these illegal immigrants will have on the communities where they are being dumped. These communities are being forced to assume burdens (see list below) caused by the federal government. One can argue that when the federal government forces a community to assume burdens that that community is not responsible for (illegal immigrants), that the community must be compensated by the federal government for its failure to enforce immigration laws. The rationals solution is closing the border and deporting those in this country illegally. Biden's failure to control illegal immigration is an impeachable offense.
  • welfare
  • housing
  • education
  • health care
  • legal service
  • environmental damage
  • anchor babies
  • inability to deport (current)
  • As time progressives, the illegal immigrants will increasingly claim that they have earned the right to remain in the US and it would be an insufferable hardship should they be deported.
PS: As an editorial aside. The environmental community should be opposed to illegal immigration. The illegal immigrants are moving from a low carbon footprint life style to a high carbon footprint lifestyle thereby contributing to advancing global warming, which the left claims would be an extinction level event. Also consider that the Biden administration does not want to pump more oil. Ok, each illegal immigrant will be adding to using more carbon based products. That will further exacerbate to the current oil (hydrocarbon) shortages.

Something tells me Biden will just turn around and bus them all back to Texas on our dime. It's all a huge scam on the citizens.

The liberals will say Abbott is kidnapping or somehow forcing migrants against their will. There will be a huge investigation on how horrible Republicans are. Meanwhile the border is forgotten, wash rinse repeat.

Well I think we all know what is going on here...

Much as I like the idea of collecting the trash and redistributing it to the people who own it, I don't think there is a legal basis for it. Plus unless you arrest the illegal aliens and force them at gunpoint to get on the buses and comply willingly after that, there is no way the plan could succeed. Maybe the Governors will pay them to get on the buses. That is probably best. Certainly $500 dollars each is a bargain compared to what it costs a state to support them for years. Even a thousand dollars is cheap. Most school systems pay around $12,000 per year to educate each child. That is an obscene number inflated by idiotic policies and waste. Think about that. Class size is around 20 students so that is $240,000 per classroom per year!!!!!!!!! And Johnny still can't read or calculate the square footage of wall space to determine how much paint to buy.

I recognize that my first sentence sounds harsh but all of these people are criminals. Not only have they broken our immigration laws but they are here to steal from us for years. They steal education for their children and medical care for everyone. They work under the table and so don't pay income tax or into SS. They have no respect for us or our way of life so I'm not sure what we owe them. They refuse to even assimilate and expect us to educate their children in Spanish. How is this different from homeless people camping on the sidewalk in front of your house or breaking in and squatting. You can abandon your house to them or you can feed them and support them because the government says that they are poor and needy and so you can't evict them. YOU are responsible for them because it is the "moral" thing to do.

We take in more legal immigrants every year then the total of all other countries in the world. If the US is such a racist, hateful country, why are people entering illegally paying the coyotes $4-6 thousand dollars each to be smuggled across the border? And those coming legally are waiting years and also spending thousands of dollars on legal fees.

The immigration system is "broken" because the "moral" people don't believe they should enforce the laws. If the laws are too immoral to enforce, then change the damn laws. I don't even care if we have an open border but we CANNOT have both an open border and a welfare state so pick one or the other. It is nothing but lunacy to have both. Then put the blame for the chaos where it belongs which is on Congress for passing the laws in the first place, the Executive branch for refusing to do their duty - which is to enforce ALL laws. And to the Supremes (they do not deserve any more respect than that) for not stepping up and either striking down the laws or forcing the Executive Branch to enforce them.

I have alot of respect for The Supremes. A great group but sadly Florence Ballard ended her life. We still have a legacy of fabulous songs.

2nd bus load arrives in DC:-

It appears to be creating the news, which has so far, been suppressed. You now have DC democrats saying that they don't want the immigrants!

I don't think it's that hard, he's not compelling them.
If I arrived in a foreign country with the clothes on my back and barely that, and someone offered me so much as a few vouchers for stuff worth $100 I'd probably say bus me to whichever major city you want - I don't care. Especially if you told me things like "this area is saturated, you'll never find work or housing here".

He's making a great point. He needs no authority to ask for volunteers to be transported, and now politicians will actually see and feel migrants who are desperate using services and issues will arise.

PS Texas doesn't have an income tax anyway.
But trust me, my property bill when I lived in Fort Worth showed me that the whole concept is stupid - all they do is roughly quadruple what I had paid in property taxes in AZ

Yeah, the supreme court was pretty respectable until Sotomayor came

You want to compare taxes, step into my world. I'm sure our property taxes are higher than yours in Texas AND we have an income tax AND we have a 7.5% sales tax AND we have one of the highest gas taxes in the country.
