in my access project i need to have a Outlook Style Navigation Pane (i.e. a sidebar that docks a groups)

i searched for a user control that can act like that , i didnt find but one that is exactly what i need :

w w w .codeproject.com/KB/menus/NaviPane.aspx

i didn't figure out how to use that code with access. it says it can be registered with visual studio 2005, 2008 and 2010

Oh they are exactly what i need ... espacially the first one... is it free to use or just demo ... if it is free can i had the download link 4 that and a simple how to use ... u guy rock ... ... pls pls gimme the links .. thx

Unfortunately the are not shareware or OCX's that can be copied from one machine to another for development purposes.

Neither do I endosre the product, The above are a small section of about 80+ third party controls that I paid for. Yes the initial cost is there but they soon pay for them selves in terms of programing and asthetics.

If you want visit my website and you will find a link to the site. It's not that I don't want to give you the URL here, it's just like I say I do not promote this site. However I can say that I have used nearly everyone of the ocx's at some point in time and they are very easy to script.

Or you can google DBI-Tech

thx for the quick replay ... unfortunately i cant afford to buy the script ... thats why i liked the one in my first post ... its free and it is suppose to install as a control in visual studio 05,08 and 10 , and if it can be installed in VS then it can be used in access .. that is my theory .
thx again and it will be a great help if u can look at that navigation bar and suggest me how to use ... thx for ur time

What software are you designing in? Access or Not?

Like I said earlier I can only point you in the right direction to accomplish your requirements. If the cost is outside your budget then unfortunately there is nothing I can do. Sorry.

oh and could any1 tell me if it is possible to implant the first post control in access projects rather than vb projects. or should i quit trying to find a solution.

thx

Thought i could bump this thread up ... with this idea :
most of the codes on codeproject site is c++ projects
so if i got a c++ compiler can i compile this project to a dll or activex that i can then insert in access forms. any ideas . thx
