Question for UK members

Shouldn't be banned, he's just the typical forum troll. Go to any forum and somebody will fill in that spot to try and get everyone worked up over nothing. It always gives the forum some flavor, but if it really bothers you you just have to ignore it. Not that difficult, most of the time if I see his name I just quickly ignore whatever was said unless everybody is really getting worked up, which is always entertaining to me.

It's really an art form, trolling. I think it's a lot easier for him on this forum since lots of the same people seem to take offense at the smallest things he says which are obviously made to make certain people's blood boil, but then again it is an older crowd and really he isn't all that bad compared to some much more vulgar trollers. He typically has a logical argument, it's just usually in-your-face and absurd.

Anyways, just wanted to post that because I don't understand how a lot of the same people continue to add the wood to his fire. By all means, Col, keep it up, it makes for some laughs.

I'm glad somebody appreciates my work. You must be the only one though. Thank you.

Unfortunately the majority don't. The net result being alot of people no longer frequent the boards. Thank you.

Well of course they leave, they get *cry face* over what he says, but like I said he's really not that bad. At least, from what I've seen, he doesn't go posting on the actual educational sections of this forum and if he has, it's not often. He really could be a lot worse, I have a number of friends that do the same thing only they hijack even the important threads just to make people mad. It's completely common in any forum and if you've found any that actually contains members that are all respectful and mature - not to say you aren't Col ;) - then, seriously, congrats and enjoy it while you can. Otherwise you just have to deal with it the same as bad drivers, loud assholes, drunks, and Col's favorite: gun-loving, fetus-aborting, "Jesus-praising", racist, uneducated, ignorant, zealous Americans. lol

Two of us Col. I've long been considering starting a fan club for you :D Maybe when I'm better I'll do that !

Hey, that's entertainment!

Then they should use the ignore button. Thank you.

Ouma - Maybe I'll ride up to Scotland and we'll do lunch.

Since when did Sunday school teach Greek mythology, in addition to the biblical myth?

Thanks Rich. I was kind of thinking along the same lines but didn't want to say so. I think it sounds better coming from you cause no one can say you were being defensive.:)

Since it came from the horse's mouth.

That's a pompous and arrogant statement to make, where's your evidence? Anyway what you call a horse was actually a nodding donkey

Not at all. Colin himself said the majority don't appreciate his 'humor'. I'm simply agreeing with his assertion.

Funny how you demand evidence from me and not from him.

Unfortunately the majority don't.

That's not strictly true and I didn't say that. I said Rusty must be the only one. Please read the posts carefully and don't mis-quote, it is so tedious.

There may be some who like my posts, there may be some who don't - there also may be some who care not either way. Now if the majority care not either way, then the majority can't be in the "don't" category.

Can you post the calculations of how you arrived at your conclusion? Or is yet another American assumption.

Col

No, the absurdities all lie within yours.
You've gone from "funny" to "absurd", please try and sort yourself out and post in English what it is you're trying to say

In Australia people that are perhaps age 40 or so and under now use a lot of American terms, undoubtedly due to TV and internet.

Sorry to get back on topic, but I have noticed that the kids from our local college speak with slight American accents! I think it's to do with media, it would be a damned shame if we all lost our individuality, ended up all the same colour and talking the same. What's next? We all think the same? Oh yes, that comes under the guise of "political correctness"

In Scotland that would be the only way to make oneself understood. American English is slightly more coherent than Scottish English.

Sure thing, let me know when and I'll arrange a Sedan Chair to collect you at the border

Really? I didn't think you were that advanced up there. I realise I can't use my car on the dirt roads.

Having just relocated to Australia after 12 years in the UK... everything about Melbourne is too American for my liking... roads that take up a city block, people wearing American clothing, caps, etc... fastfood... not quite got as far as the drive through coffee shops and banks... but having drive-through bottle shops is starting to show the same laziness!! Think the best thing to do is to either relocate to the UK or move to New Zealand!! ;-) (can you tell I'm a kiwi!!)
