search field

I have a form based on students details. I want to be able to search through the students using there names. which are stored in a combo box
How do you do this without using macros or wizards


Also If I want to add a student can I add a name into the same combo box.

I have amended your table slightly adding 'middle Name' and 'last Name', the rest I have left as you sent it. Hope this is the sort of thing you are looking for.

in the example copy of postgraduate update.zip, for eg if there was a second table say holding grades. using the same search form how can i get data from the second table to appear in the search results?

also, how do i make a combo box so that it will accept data from the user as well as select from the list.

my DB is for suppliers and products and product categories. i need to be able search under any of the 3
