I've been cluging together Access Databases for several years, but primarily for my own use.
Then people at work learned I did it and suddenly my smacked together database became the workhorse for our group. It wasn't really designed as a multi-user system...and suddenly it's becoming a spiderweb of linked tables.
The performance problems are growing - I'm testing splitting the back end onto a SQL db but if I do, I no longer have access (pun intended!) to the back end - a different department owns the SQL servers.
I'm glad to be in the company of so many incredibly knowledgeable people!
