I have created a list box on my form, and the results of the select are 1, 2 and 3... but I want to add a tool tip showing an explaination of what they mean...

Firstly is this possible? if so how?

Im using Access 2002

Thanks in advance

Hello Razaq!
Here it is, attachment, zip.
1) It's a COMBO BOX, not a list box.
2)I never use a button for exit. I use a smal button on right uper corner
on the form (X).
3)I never use a button for "ADD NEW RECORD". I use a NAVIGATION BUTTONS.
4)All buttons i put in the FORM FOOTER.
5)What is with "LIMIT TO LIST" properties.

6) There are many ways to explain the combo box.
a) Label (as you can see on the form).
b) STATUS BAR TEXT properties (on combo box).
Click on the combo RATING, and look at the bottom of the screen.
c) CONTROL TIP TEXT properties (on combo box).

I thought you had created a tool tip that will appear when the user hovers of the list box!!!, placing a text box to explain the meaning of the numbers in not appropriate,

OK, here is a NEW ONE.
I add a Table1.
Look at Table1, Combo Box.
Open Form and try.

There's no reason for it not to work with a Listbox. Perhaps you're confused because it's called a ControlTip Text Property in Access.

In Form Design View, right-click on the Listbox, click on Properties-Other and enter your message in the ControlTip Text Property box.
