Trump decrees "There are only two Genders" (1 Viewer)

Although there are some masculine women & effeminate men out there!
Yes! One of my dad's friends had a daughter who I used to hang around with when I was 13 or 14... Years later I met up with her and I think she wanted to go on a date, but she was just too masculine for me! I'd never realised that was possible before!!! Mind you I grew up with TV infected with effeminate men, they seem to infiltrate the acting world!!!

Isn't that the truth? I'm not sure why that is but it does seem to be the case.

Trump is wrong on this - what he means is there are two sexes! There are, and always have been, 3 genders - masculine, feminine and neuter. The word gender refer s to a language construct which has been hijacked to give it a different meaning.

The issue with the whole gender thing is that it always use to refer to male or female sex, but as @DickyP correctly points out, was hijacked. So you end up with the original definition and the hijacked definition, resulting in endless arguments over what gender actually means and how many there are. If the hijackers invented a new word instead of stealing an old one, then it would have avoided all this nonsense. However, the hijacking is a deliberate attempted to blur the lines over the male/female identity, to claim that men can be women and vice versa. Or one of the other 100+ options.

There are three sexes and three genders. For sex (physical structures), you have male, female, and any one of several "intersex" situations (think "hermaphroditism") where BOTH structures are present to some degree. Granted, intersex is very low in probability - but it isn't zero.

For gender (as in how you identify), you have male, female, and any one of several "ambiguous" cases. Back in my high school days, that third case (bisexual) was often laughingly called "trisexual" - meaning "try anything once." Other jokes about bisexuality include "boosting the odds for a good date on Saturday night."

I have previously presented my case for the physiological reasons why it is possible to be of one gender but the opposite sex. I won't repeat them here. However, I will agree that there are only two genders (excluding the ambiguous case). A person will exhibit a preference for having either male or female companionship. Two choices.

As gender these days includes behavior, it is possible to be assigned a sex that doesn't match your preferred gender. I just underwent a minor medical diagnostic procedure where the hospital paperwork asked questions about both. They asked for my gender (intended as physical so they really meant sex) AND they asked "as what do you identify?" (clearly referring to possibilities of homosexuality).

BTW - awaiting official biopsy results on the diagnostic procedure but the doctor said that he didn't think we had to worry about what he found. Which means you aren't rid of me quite yet.

Or perhaps lesbianism, should you identify as a woman, and are in a relationship with another woman (who was previously a man).

And so very pleased that your results look - at least in the first instance - positive.

No, lesbianism is just another case of "which kind of partner do you prefer." But you DO still have a preference for one vs. the other. So it isn't an exception to my earlier comments.

Yes. I Agree. Becoming Trans is not a New Gender. It's a kind of Mental syndrome. Can be 100% curable before the genitals are removed.

I have placed articles here and there regarding transgender types. Sometimes it is removal of the genitals that is the cure. "Trans" is not and never was a NEW gender. It was merely a misunderstanding of the person's actual gender. It is not a "mental" syndrome as much as it is a condition of birth in which a person's brain physically contains structures normally associated with the other gender than the one assigned at birth.

You can often view a person's brain via Positron Emission Tomography to see the structures and verify that the person is, in fact, homosexual because the wiring of the brain doesn't match the plumbing on the body. It's real. And if the person is actually so afflicted with this condition, it is NOT curable - because the person is functioning according to brain structures that are perfect healthy - but inconsistent with other structures.
