Giving everyone a trophy is what is not fair. Children need to be rewarded when they excel. Otherwise, they learn that nothing they do matters so why put out any effort. The key is to give them multiple options where they can excel. Everyone is good at something, you just need to find your niche and you need to understand that you won't excel at everything. I really liked skiing. Could I compete in the Olympics? Not a chance. Didn't diminish my love for the serenity and beauty of the mountain though. My husband would take three runs to my one On the other hand, he came to me when one of his users needed help with Access.Life is, by construction, not fair.
