Perhaps impossible to assemble a modern laptop by hand because everything is so cramped. Obviously possible for a machine.

Not sure i understand the question; we can disassemble and reassemble ANY laptop irrespective of age / size and manufacturer. Be aware though some laptops have special security screws that will not open unless you have the correct security head. Maybe this is why your being told its impossible!
