Sometimes, Access after a problem will offer to start in Safe Mode. This is never useful to me, and prevents Access from running unattended (I have a routine that runs after midnight. Is there anyway to prevent the Safe Mode prompt or to automatically choose no?

Not aware of an access safe mode which is a windows feature. please can you clarify/post an image of what you mean

According to this link:

In general, an Office utility that opens in /SAFE mode must be restarted in "ordinary" mode because once the code has started, you can't change an open-time setting so easily. Since I've never actually tried to do this "the hard way" (I just manually restart without the option), I don't know of a programmatic way to do this.

But I checked. This does not apply to Access, which does not appear to have that /SAFE option anyway, so the problem is moot. Or at least it is not triggered by a command-line option.

I did, however, find a reference to this. It is apparently not a utility issue so much as an App issue.
