Although Trump did go to a military prep school. That's where he learned about the Art of War and the Prince and those lessons drove the talking heads crazy because they had no idea where the tactics came from. Starting with, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. They were convinced that Trump though Putin and Kim were his friends:)

In current day America without a draft, unless you come from a military family, the well to do almost never choose the military as a profession. The middle class uses the military as a way to get college paid for.
 
In the USA, its amazing how much emphasis is put on the military. Why is it so important? Is it a sign of weakness if someone doesn't go in the military?

Yes I read that. It just seems like it's an obsession with marches, protests and riots, and it seems to come into every aspect of American life, especially in politics where it is almost a sign of homosexuality if a president or candidate didn't serve.

Just an observation from a brit, not a criticism.

makes you think of all the nights fox news had people on during the lockdowns trying to reason with the madness of extreme lockdowns - wanting more balance - between being 'safe from covid' versus 'sick from everything else' - including mental health. of course now people are talking about it, but the damage was done - but shamefully so easy to predict.
 
The teen suicide rate increased also and then there's the cancer deaths caused by the screenings that were cancelled or avoided or the surgeries that were cancelled.

My blunt translation of: "Van Jones: “Democrats are coming across as annoying and offensive and out-of-touch. I think there is a message here.”" -->> The people simply don't like what the Democrats are "selling". That is the message. It is also the reason that the Republicans won in Virginia, specifically the successful campaign of Glenn Youngkin to win the governor's race. He was responding to what the people wanted.

The Democratic excuses I have heard from various sound bytes was that the Democrats had failed in passing their legislation which they asserted that the public wanted. So they are proposing to double-down on that approach as the solution for their election losses. This boils down to the belief that the Democrats unilaterally get to define what the public wants. If the public does not accept what the Democrats propose then they are deplorable, not to be listened to.

Of course, it doesn't help the Democrats to be spewing racism, hate, endless autocratic Covid mandates which are now resulting in many people losing their jobs and irritating many people even if they do not lose their jobs, and using the legal system to deprive citizens of their right of free speech and to arrest those deemed "domestic terrorists" as a means of political repression.

How about the New Jersey race! The republican didn't win but the vote was so close that there is sure to be a recount. The Republican candidate is a truckdriver who spent $158 dollars of his own money on the campaign. I don't know what others spent so that is probably meant to be misleading. I don't think $158 was quite enough to garner enough name recognition or maybe, people just voted for the "other" guy.

Yes, their policies are unpopular and frankly out of step with the mainstream American they have to cheat. Otherwise their Marxist agenda would never see the light of day.
 
The Russia Hoax continues to excruciatingly slowly unravel. Unfortunately, its too late to undo the damage to the US political process inflicted by the Democrats. Democrats are the threat to democracy despite their bombast otherwise. Now, it it were only possible to redo the 2020 election. A glimmer of hope exists for the future as the 2021 election results demonstrated that the Democrats lies are finally causing the electorate to vote against Democrats and to vote Republican.

Durham may be charging people with crimes but the DOJ will probably never prosecute anyone let alone Hillary. Even under Trump, the DOJ refused to prosecute liberals for crimes like lying to Congress or the FBI so all those people exchanging texts about stopping Trump got to walk away with their pensions intact. As did the ones who went on national TV to confirm that the Russia hoax was real when they knew for a fact, it was made up by the Clinton camp. We knew all of this four years ago. At some point the the time limit will expire. Then they can boast publicly about what they got away with. Months ago the Democrats were talking about how they "saved" the election for the "good" side.
