Elon Musk - Tesla - FSD

Constant surveillance on another level.
better keep your shades drawn.

We already have constant surveillance. We had a bank robbery a few years ago. LE was able to track the robber for miles by collecting surveillance video from stores, ring doorbells, traffic cameras, etc. all the way to the hotel he was staying at.

And yet we still don't know the guy who planted the bomb in front of the DNC on Jan 6th.

Willful blindness. We also don't know who brought the cocaine into the White House and we don't know who leaked the Dobbs(?) decision or the ICE raid details. The FBI and DOJ are only functional against Republicans. They haven't a clue how to find a Democrat perp.

The big hint was the device was a training device used by a certain agency. Never meant to explode, more likely to frame.

Trading in the Tesla, which you paid dearly for BTW, because you are mad at Musk is like sticking a pencil in your own eye. It is the height of stupidity unless of course you only bought the EV to virtue signal and didn't believe any of the climate change bull. So now you are virtue signaling by getting rid of your Tesla (and losing a ton of money in the process because as soon as the ink is dry on your signature, the car depreciated 30%).

At least this virtue signaling is costing the idiots real money:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

costing the idiots real money
I've had more cars than I can count but I can't understand why someone would spend that kind of money for a car to begin with. And take out a car loan on top of that. I care about the environment but I also don't think EV's are ready for primetime, at least for my purposes. I just bought my first used car, on a whim, a few months ago and it only gets 17-18 mpg. I must be a bad liberal.

I asked grok to turn my observations into a post here below:-

Cotswold, I get why you’d question the point of FSD and all the money being poured into it—it’s a fair thing to wonder about, especially if you’re not sold on the Musk/Tesla hype. But here’s one way to look at why Musk says a car’s value could shoot up once FSD is fully ready, even for folks who’d rather roll their eyes at him.
So the object is to increase the value cost of a car by a considerable amount.

Maybe making them unaffordable to buy meaning that they would be rented. As many phones are. The rented phones are charged to include 20% interest on capital employed and more. Which is why I'll only buy a £100 Android and never rent an Apple. But if it was an Apple, or nothing, I'd do without.

Presumably you'll telephone for a car to be dispatched to pick you up and take you to your destination. Thereby increasing considerably the number of journeys made by vehicles. No doubt suffering huge delays waiting for a lift, in the same way that EVs do at present in charging.

"Apologies Fred you cannot have a car until tomorrow to take you back home. In the meantime you can stay in the Musk Hotel at £350 for the night." Or maybe it is a busy period , or you are going to and from an event like the Cheltenham Gold Cup so the price is double, or treble. (Premier Inn in Cheltenham £90, in Gold Cup Week £430.) Or your car arrives and some kid has been sick in it. Etc, etc.

Then of course Musk will no doubt sell details of your movements etc, etc. Goodbye freedom, welcome control.
I still don't see it working. Well not for me anyway. Mind you I can be a bit glass-half-empty on stuff like this.

worse than that . . .

No, you are allowing analytic data to be collected anonymously. Turn it off if you don't like it.

To disable the Tesla cabin camera, you can go into the vehicle's settings and turn off the data sharing for the cabin camera analytics. This can be done by navigating to Controls > Safety & Security > Data Sharing and choosing "No" for Allow Cabin Analytics. However, this only stops the data from being shared with Tesla; it does not disable the camera itself. If you want to physically disable the camera, you can cover the lens with a camera cover or black tape. 235

Tesla's cabin camera is designed to capture data in case of a safety event, such as a collision, to help Tesla develop future safety features and software enhancements. The camera data is not associated with your vehicle identification number to protect your privacy. 3

As of the latest updates, Tesla has introduced new features that monitor the driver while in Autopilot mode, which can be turned off by adjusting the data sharing settings in the same manner as for cabin camera analytics. 4

If you wish to disable the camera's functionality entirely, you can use a camera cover or similar device to block the camera lens.

According to the Democrats, climate change is the threat to life on earth. Biden issued numerous regulations aimed at putting cars and appliance dependent on fossil fuels out of business. Now that Musk has joined with Trump, Musk is being cancelled. As one high profile example: Mark Kelly touts new (gas guzzling) SUV after saying he was ditching Tesla. That makes the entire radical left environmental movement a fraud.
