I'm still here you know, although I was threatened with a ban when I last posted.
That prompted me to make sure my other usernames still worked. A ban lasts as long as it takes to switch IP addresses and usernames.

Brian if you promise not to fall of your chair, I will let you in on a little secret. I agree with you. Americans knowledge of geography is pitiful. It’s almost as bad as my spelling. The best story I remember along these lines is when Colin Powell was told by (I forgot who) most Americans don’t even know (I forget where) is located. He said, something to the affect, but unfortunate for you does that do are all Marines.
Last call for AWF gathering in Jacksonville, FL. (Aug. 12) I think I already know what I am ordering.
That’s what I like about traveling. So many restaurants, so few meals.
I would have thought that by now someone would have quoted me a verse on gluttony.

Israel's not in the EU - nor does it have more sense than liberals - the exact opposite unfortunately? Which country were you misapplying your logic to?

Israel is doing just fine. Most EU counties are ripe for the picking. Too bad about the automatic weapons. Would like to have an old Thompson sub. to hang on my wall.

Have you ever watched 'Water's World' the Factor. It seems that (mostly young people) could not find their way out their state much less know where it is in relation to the other 49 states. Rem. Even the present Pres. knew there were 52 states. Uhmmmmmmmm?

OHhhhhhhh, had a chance to get a pretty 50 cal. B. the other day and I let it pass. Had to be out of my mind but just could not meet the price. OH-well.

That reminds me. I will be traveling soon. Do you know if TN has reciprocal CWP with FL? It will save me time from googleing it.

Ah, but Switzerland is in Europe???????I Think????? Other than the big three, I do not know who else is in the European Union. Don't really care either!
Do you realize how bad those countries feel now. I am getting rough treatment even in this country, however.
Can’t anybody take a compliment anymore? I am in Jacksonville, FL. Lord willing I am preaching here tomorrow night. I am in line at a restaurant and this women is hugging her son. I said to her, that’s a wonderful thing, a mother’s love for her child. Even for an ugly kid like this, and she slapped me. Did I do something wrong??

DuH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol

OOP|s? Let me retract that last statement. The time I spoke of was a couple of years ago. After some digging, well.... here is the Alabama CWP site and they do recognize Florida and TN.

Let me add.....TN does not recognize AL permits mostly because they are issued by the local Sheriff offices. The Good-Ole Boy Style of doing things.

See! Now that's why Americans aren't good with geography. You have such a huge and beautiful country that you have no need to know where anywhere else in the world is. Us 'poor Europeans' need to know where these countries are because we're so dependent on them. Here in the UK it's French electricity, Russian gas, Middle Eastern oil (we sucked most of our own oil fields dry and are looking at fracking, much to the chagrin of most of the UK population), our food comes in from all over the world but we can grow some of our own vegetables! As it turns out (from memory), Switzerland have some very liberal gun laws whereas France, Holland, Luxembourg and the UK have very Draconian gun laws. And, er, Blade, who are the big three?

I'd be genuinely surprised to find out that more than half of the UK population (roughly 64 million people) cares either way about fracking.

Back before I emigrated, I got the distinct impression that the only time oil made the headlines was when prices went up or there was a shortage of some kind.

Is fracking that big an issue now?
