shows just how unreliable the internet can be when searching for justification for one's own narrow point of view:rolleyes:

:D Rich my sides are beginning to hurt from laughing so much. Now you're denying the accuracy of a dictionary compiled from one of the top Universities within your own country. It is a globally recognised standard.
:D :D
You're argument for doing this is because other dictionaries have not included the definition? Basically Oxford Uni got it wrong. Is that what you're saying? LMAO :D :D

Edit:

A quote from OED.com

The Oxford English Dictionary is the accepted authority on the evolution of the English language over the last millennium. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources, from classic literature and specialist periodicals to film scripts and cookery books.

I am beginning to think you wouldn't know an ethnic slur if it bit you in the bum :p

So it does - Rich has been told enough times that he should know its offensive anyway.

You can remove all doubt by comitting yourself to a straight answer. :D

Don't worry Rich I won't demand it from you. The history of the OED is miniscule compared to the vast intellect of the Rich :D

That's so funny :D Surely Rich can't resist the powers of both the OED and the Britannica.

Edit: BOTH of his links refer to the same definition. I need oxygen ...

Darn... We ran him clean out of the forum

Hope his next heater service call isn't from a minority... :D

"Excuse me can you recommend a good resource for the English language?"
"The Rich English language compendium is a must have."
"What about the OED?"
"Nah rubbish! Inaccurate definitions"
"What about the Britannica Encyclopedia?"
"Nope out of date."
"Merriam-Webster's Dictionary?"
"Writings of a lunatic! Take the Rich Compendium that'll steer you in the right direction. Guaranteed not to offend anyone with that!"

Ohh my! Ya'll seem to have ran him clear out of here. :(

Nah, I doubt it he's too smart for that, as well as I am sure they did't take offence to his comment like the rest of the forum here.

This discussion has gotten way out of hand. Is there anyone here of Asian decent that has taken offence to his statement? If not, then lets drop it. Is it worth fighting among ourselves? If so, speak your mind and then lets drop it.

Rich really is a nice guy, and yes does sometimes type before he thinks, but that doesn't excuse the barage he has recieved here in the last few hours. This was one of the worse, 'Lets gang up on Rich' thread I had seen in a while. :(

Just had to speak my mind, as well as I hate conflict. I guess that makes me a 'yellow belly' southern hick eh? :D
