Hello,

I am new both to access and to this forum.
I have met serious problems when trying to build a database by using access.
What I try to do is to construct a table with data like employee name, staff number, home address, contact phone number, and a path to the staff's photo.

I have downloaded templates from different websites and still haven't been successful in displaying a corresponding staff image when a record is shown.
The most I can get is to have a bound object box with the filename displayed, like 434111.bmp.

And when I generate a report from the page, all details are correctly shown except that the photo is shown as a blank square.

Can someone please shed some light as to how this can be done properly?

Thanks in advance~!

The way to deal with images is to store the image in it's own directory. Then in your DB store the address of the image that corresponds to that record.

From the zip file copy both the DB and the image file to the same directory in your computer (the desk top is a good place to start)

Hello,

Thank you for helping me out. I have since solved my problem after looking at your example.

Thank you very much!
