Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a self-taught multi-tool techie - can do a lot of intermediate web design, graphic design, excel data sheets, etc.

But I know almost nothing about access and am dying to learn -- I have more than one project at hand that would really benefit if I can teach myself.

Anyway, thanks from Texas!

Hi. Welcome to AWF!

Hello and welcome to the forum. We are (not so close) neighbors. I'm from south Louisiana.

When learning Access, if you have not come across this topic before, you should consider reading a bit on the topic of Database Normalization. Since this IS a database forum, you can search here for Normalization. Going out to the web, though, you must properly qualify your search for Database Normalization, because other disciplines also use the word "normalization."

Start by reading some articles from .EDU sites, but eventually you will find some good .COM sites, too. The only problem with .COM sites is that they usually want to sell you something.
