She paid for the Steele dossier which was used to promote the Russia hoax and cause a special prosecutor to be appointed to investigate the hoax which resulted in the Muller report which cost the American taxpayer millions of dollars over a LIE purchased by Hillary Clinton. She was not criminally charged but she did have to pay a fine so there was some minor campaign finance violation attached.
