I want to leave my db as an Access desktop app, but make a relatively small part of it available over the web - mainly product data, which is fairly static. So I'm thinking I can export that data to some other format which can then be accessed via a browser.

I have implemented web sites before, but only using hosts' toolsets.

What technologies should I be reading up on - a) for the data repository (mySQL ?) and b) for coding the functionality (PHP) ?

MYSQL and PHP would be my suggestions. Maybe WordPress.

It matters not what depository you use. Even the Jet or Ace Access files. The real issue what language you are going to use. PHP / ASP.Net. You appear to be only posting Product details so chose a web development you are most comfortable with.

There is always Sharepoint and perhaps Access Web Applications, (no VBA).
