This film was made 60 years ago, parts of it sound familiar?

In this country, we have no "other" people.
Today we do. We have the oppressors and the oppressed. The media is pressing as hard as they can for a race war and to divide the citizens of this country into warring factions. The only way the Marxists can win is by dividing the rest of us. And we are STILL persecuting Catholics. And we STILL hate Israel and love the Chinese oppressors because our corporations make lots of money in China. We have reverted to racial preference. We can no longer judge people based on the content of their character or evan on their job skills. We are told we MUST judge them on the boxes they check or we are racist or homophobes or whatever pejorative the left choses for the day. We are supposed to hire and promote people based on boxes rather than competence. Painting a rainbow flag on an airplane is absolutely terrifying. I don't ever want to fly on a plane where the cockpit crew was hired based on their sexual orientation rather than their score in the simulator and on the job. I'll leave that to you. Please make sure the next time you book a plane ticket or surgery to ask if the pilot identifies as a unicorn or if the surgeon has had a sex change operation because those are what is important, NOT the skills of the people in whose hands you are placing your life.

We have gone from discriminating against people who were different - which was absolutely wrong - to hiring people who check certain boxes but we don't care if they have the skill or background to do the job in our striving for "equity". That is not only wrong, it is downright dangerous. If your scores are too low to get into med school, who is served by boosting your score? Either you won't succeed and will have to drop out or professors will have to keep giving your scores a boost to keep you in the game until you can graduate. Eventually you are promoted without learning the material until you are dropped on the unsuspecting public who think they are seeing an actual "doctor" instead of someone incapable of passing the necessary exams so they had to be dumbed down or his score had to be augmented.

When you watched that video, I'm sure you saw other things in its message because you sure didn't see what I saw. I saw a strong warning against the race baiters of BLM who are trying very hard to divide this country and the Fascists' who are OK with the government controlling businesses by telling them who to censor in violation of the first amendment and the Socialists who would drag everyone down in an effort to make "equal" outcomes.

Equity is downright idiotic. Anyone with half a brain knows that we are not identical and so equal outcomes can never be guaranteed. My husband could never be a quarterback for a major football team. Probably couldn't even qualify for a local dad's league. I could never dance with the Bolshoi. That doesn't mean that we have been discriminated against. It means we just couldn't cut it.. I still took years of ballet lessons as a child. They made me physically stronger and more graceful so they weren't useless but I was not cut out to be a prima donna. I am pretty darned good with Access though. Everyone has skills they can learn to be useful in society and to make themselves be worthwhile. My best friend's brother is mentally deficient. He holds a fulltime job and is proud of his work. His employer is happy because he is reliable (my friend takes care of that) and he is nice to people - that is due to his own personality so he is very well suited to his job. He is not competent to live on his own so he lives with my friend. Should he feel inferior because there is no way he could ever do what I do?

You don't need the government to tell you that you are something you are not or to give you "free" stuff because you are oppressed. You should be offended at having your scores bumped so you can get into a college program you don't qualify for on your own merits. You just need to do the best you can with the raw material you started with.

I think you are better than pretty good at ACCESS.
I don't agree that the media and BLM want a race war. When I lived in Chicago, we used to go to printers row in the spring for the book fair. I always looked forward to having a chat with the communists that had a booth, peddling some guys book. I once asked if they had ever been to a Communist country? They all said no. I told them that I had, and it wasn't pretty, unless, of course. you had a passion for cinder blocks and gray buildings. That was just after the wall came down, and every year after that, their numbers were smaller. I don't think that Marxism is the threat here. But do think that there are those that appear to want a supreme leader of some sort in charge. The problem with that, is there are groups that clamor for a change of government. And as Adolf found out, that after he was in power, they started threatening him. So he had Ernst Rohm killed and broke up the brown shirts, because those guys just wanted a permanent state of chaos.
