That makes two votes then (Tim will have invisibly voted for himself). You people (person, robot etc) missed the boat, I believe the Monster Raving Loony Party may not have a Transatlantic branch.......
Hello BarryMK,
As far as the Monster Raving Loony Party goes, I'd say over there in England will be the best place for getting such a movement started. Rave culture is quite popular, from what I gather, in England as well as the rest of Europe too! Look at the Love Parade in Berlin and the rave party island of Ibiza....We don't have that kind of scale here, although I am quite fond of what we do have. If I had a rave candidate I could vote for here in the United States I'd definitely do it, but as of right now I haven't seen that option so I will have to continue to weight the options I do have carefully before I vote for the "non-rave" candidate(s).
Perhaps this is just a poorly conceived experiment in mass brainwashing, TB/friend posts truckloads of mindless crap day in day out and sooner or later anyone foolish enough to read it all starts to believe it? Do you people have nothing at all worthwhile to do with your lives? How pathetically sad .....
As to the best of my knowledge this is not an experiment of any sorts. I am acting independently and I am basing my actions on the process of logical thought. I guess if I could encapsulate the totality of my reasoning for supporting Tim Brewer for publicly elected office, it would be his devotion to science and the scientific method. Standing up for one's principle's above all else is quite admirable in a statesman, and this is one of the reasons I supported President Bush and his efforts. Plus, I like Tim Brewer's domestic policy and I think he would be good for things like taxes and picking Supreme Court Justices. Remember, as of today, we accept the concept of gravity as being an axiom, but back when Sir Issac Newton was tossing the idea around, people thought him to be foolish too.
Is Tim Brewer the modern day equivalent of Sir Issac Newton, holding the keys to a new technological breakthrough that will forever change the way man views both himself and the nature of the universe? Only time will tell, but won't you feel a lot better if you get on board early as to be in the position to say "I told you so" to the current day doubters some time in the future? Hedging your bets isn't just a good idea for when you are investing money in the stock market you know....
As to the issue of what kind of things I focus my attentions on, the truth of the matter is that I have lots of things that occupy my time that are worthwhile and bear the fruits of hard work. Doing Live PA techno and house sets is foremost on my list of priorities. Today, I took a vacation day from my job (which I have had now for 19 years) and I started cleaning up my crawlspace at my house. I have hauled two skids of pea gravel home from the hardware store in my truck and I have about 2/5's of it under the house. Later in the week I'll get two more skids and finish up. After that I'm going to upgrade the insulation in my house as to take advantage of the tax write off program the federal government is providing. After that I'll be spending quite a bit of time out in the garden and keeping up with yardwork. I also enjoy quiet time, and I have found that reading about subjects like Ethnobotany, mycology, aromatherapy, and medical herbalism is a great way to invest my time. I'd be happy to share some good book titles with you if you would like. I also really like cooking and eating healthy foods. (I'm in the process of writing up a little booklet on this subject and would be happy to share it with you as well)
In my spare time, I try to stay politically aware and I pay attention to the news and current events. I get some information from the internet but mostly I listen to AM talk radio. I especially like this format because it is broadcast over the airwaves to a broad sweeping segment of the population, plus, if you have a contrary opinion, you can just call in and voice your concerns.
I am certain that as I continue to post on this topic and others, my credibility and reputation will be firmly cemented in place here at the World Access Forum.
Thanks to Tim Brewer for alerting me to this wonderful forum's existence...
