as you will noticed on the first demo db, when you drag "Label Y" (middle label), it keep on jerking and jumping.
the new revision resolves that and now is very smooth to drag.

version 2 is an attempt but the problem persists so i did not post it.

When I read the words "major revision", I was thinking you've solved the following situation. When a box's position changes, the line position doesn't change.

I expected the line between Y and Z, changes its position and stick to the right side of the Z box.

the line position doesn't change.

no it will not change.
that is the "sequence" of the labels.
what is fixed (on the first upload) is that it is not "jumping" (the label Y), compared to the first upload.

so this demo is really about "sticky" line (as mentioned on post#1).
so the lines will not "change position", thus the word "sticky".

/Edit:
a quick check and update, when you "resize" the labels, the lines don't stick and create a "gap".
this upload is the fix.
