Yes. My problem is lipid sensitivity, not spice sensitivity. Cajun food, except for the fried fish, shrimp, and oysters, is rarely very oily but will be well seasoned in aromatic or peppery spices. As long as the fried food is drained properly after frying, I can have a taste or two. It also depends on which oil is used for frying. For instance, the Popeye's Fried Chicken chain typically drains the fried foods well, but another chain, Brothers Fried Chicken, will set me off just being near it. KFC also can trigger me in unpleasant way - or could before I gave them up. Popeye's also uses palm oil for frying rather than lard-based or peanut oils.

If you really DID understand Maslow's work, you would have the answer to why you don't tax the bejeezus out of wealthy people... a little thing called "incentive." Granted that there are extremes everywhere, a little greed can be good as a motivator. So then we are talking degree, not kind.

It has been one of my mantras my whole life. I'm an entrepreneur. My point, which you are avoiding, is the root cause of the decline of the middle class, and the all out assault on small business.
The laws of the land have been written by the minions of olagogs for the last 4 decades. They favor the concentration of wealth at the top.
This is a trend that is excellorating, where will it end?

For someone who claims to be so smart, have you EVER figured out how to turn on your spell checker?

Having said that, the whole point of evolution is that you WANT to be at the top of the food chain and that means being the critter with the most stuff. Stuff accumulates in that direction. You can fight evolutionary ingrained patterns or you can follow them. But you can't deny their existence.

Spelling is not a function of intelligence. I interpret (literally see them differently) than most people. I don't see letters, I hear words.

As far as evolution, you say things that are almost inconceivably incorrect. I'll stick with my spelling issues, thank you. And once again, you are ignoring the point. Sometime evolution must be disrupted by revolution. That's where we are now. on the verge of another revolution, the balance of wealth and power has once again reached a tipping point.

What the dynamic duo in Washington are doing is preemptively undermining one of the major impediments to their rise to godhood. Just like the Chevron case.

What are people going to do when the AIs completely take over?

This goes deeper than the graphic shows. Democrats have been claiming that looking into government agencies will result in the release of private data to anyone who wants to see it. Well, when the Democrats controlled the House the they sued Trump to get his private tax data. And guess what happened, the Democrats immediately leaked that private data to the public!

You are the one having trouble conceiving of the concept that as we "dumb down" the people with antagonistic headlines and lurid catch-phrases in order to dampen their higher logic faculties, we are more likely to give in to the same forces that drive evolution.

All I know is thank God Bernie's own party rejected him right out of the democratic process. Hope DOGE uncovers everything that has been hidden from us. The many ways that kickbacks are used to circumvent any ill-gotten gains is astonishing. And do we really need hundreds of agencies that no one even knows exist?

No. It was the party who decided that it was Hillary's "turn" to run for President because they cheated HER out if it in 2008 so that Obama could run instead. They wanted the black man instead of the white woman. Black trumps white in all cases of "equity".
