Expel Wayward Republicans from the Senate?

I never said they were paid, so I polititely decline your request of wasting my time. That's part of the "flood them with requests for evidence even for widely stipulated truths" part. Common tactic in lawsuits too, flood them with discovery requests no matter if you already know it's true or not. Keep going, you're demonstrating my point
Sorry, it was Pat that said they were paid. There is nothing wrong with people demonstrating or taking a bus. Arson, however is a serious crime that should be punished just like assault should be punished.

Find me a reference in mainstream media about rioters being paid.
You won't find it described as such. The left knows how to deflect to obscure these facts.
Trump funding freeze halts decades of U.S. democracy work around the world
The Trump administration has stopped funding practically all U.S. government work supporting democracy, human rights and press freedom around the globe.
One of those organizations is Manushya, a human rights foundation in Thailand. Manushya has used USAID funding to support nine safe houses that protect environmental activists and opposition politicians from neighboring authoritarian states such as Laos and Cambodia.
So those who are getting money, are simply characterized as "environmental activists" and/or people valiantly rising up to oppose authoritarian states. Not the reality that they are paid rioters and social disrupters. And, if something like Fox News actually used the word "paid" you would refuse to accept that as true.

Part Hartman said that rioters were being paid. Do you have a reference from Fox News about rioters being paid? From the news site, not the opinion site.

Don't get me started on the uselessness of unions these days. All they do is to protect the incompetent and ensure that no one ever excels at their job.

Pat, I don't want to throw down the gauntlet here but there are cases where the unions protect workers from egregious neglect by management. Just as you don't want to talk about your daughter in the J6 context, I have to be careful about discussing things I learned from a family member.

Are you aware of the UPS issues relating to safety concerns? UPS will happily send out trucks with unfixed brake problems. More than once UPS has sent out delivery trucks with egregious safety hazards relating to the braking system or with nearly bald tires on rainy days. UPS commonly sends out trucks with no climate controls during times of extreme heat or cold, to the point that there have been drivers who fell prey to heat stroke. There are work standards for providing extra help when the loads are extra heavy (e.g. holiday season) but UPS doesn't always provide helpers AND they still expect everything to be delivered on time. It is not unusual for a driver on a route with several commercial facilities on it to move over a literal ton of packages in a single day, 50 pounds at a time.

I'm not saying there aren't "deadhead drivers" and other situations where lazy workers are doing wrong, but your "all they do" statement glosses over and dismisses WHY unions still have SOME relevance.

Now for my unbelievable union horror story. Many centuries ago, when I was working for the federal government there was a GS-12 computer programmer. She was evidently given a task which required that she learn a programming language that she was not familiar with. She refused. Next management offered to send her to some training. Again she refused. Somewhere along the line, this escalated. She went to her union. Unbelievably, she won!! 😲

This really is a silly point to be arguing and means little to nothing to the overall point, but just for sh*t's sake, I'll say: Well, when Kamala Harris contributed to a fund designed to bail them out of jail, isn't that being paid?

I just can't get past the basics: You aren't worth more than you're being paid if the market does not drive things that way.
To just organize into a group and say, We're all going to force you to pay whatever $ amount we want, seems like a retarded way to mess up the otherwise beauty of the market system. None of the rest of us hold a gun to our employers and demand more money, we just go where they are paying more if we feel underpaid. People who depend on Unions to do everything for them have difficulty comprehending reality: Guess what! You aren't worth any more than you're being paid if the cold, hard facts of attrition+hiring don't force the employer to pay more. Artificially increasing your wages just dooms the industry and forces everyone else (like buyers) to pay the cost of your foolishness.

There are so many better ways to get paid more money. Quit and go somewhere else. If nobody is paying more, then you weren't worth more. Upskill yourself to work in a role that naturally pays more.

Unions are the reason that before the demise of Detroit, there were people doing nothing more than putting a bolt on a nut 10,000x/day, who made $75k - and that was back then. Because the industry was so unionized everyone was paying money that anyone could objectively say was ridiculous. Unions are the reason those laid off workers were shocked when they went elsewhere for jobs in other industries and slowly began to realize that putting a nut on a bolt was really worth about $20k.

She didn't pay anything according to the bail fund. She only tweeted.

On June 1, 2020 soon after George Floyd was killed by former police officer Derek Chauvin, Harris tweeted “If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.”

Frank said that tweet remains the extent of Harris’ support for the fund.

So Harris was simply full of hot air for the optics of it and not actually committed to doing anything to back her supporters. Reminds me of how she misspent approximately $1 Billion of campaign money as a money laundering operation to "buy" fake supporters. Harris is/was a shyster, a fraud.
