I did not say all German people were bad or dumb. Hey, 6 million German Jewish people died at his hands. While I have not looked it up yet and at the expense of being wrong again, Albert Einstein came from Germany as well. Now days the US government is out of the space race as it should be. I think there are some civilian companies that are competing for that prize.

Sorry to here about that Colin but there are a lot of people including myself that was in a church or was raised in a church where some of its people trampled on others and then took sanction in the church/religion itself. Many of these people either quite going to church or try several churches until they find what is comfortable for them. In the end, these crooks/shams will have to answer for their actions to a higher authority. I see no reason why I should quite believing simply because of a few.

Most figures are more like 150,000 German Jewish deaths in the holocaust. Your stats don't give much confidence that you actually know much about what you are talking about? How do you forget Poland, soviet union,Holland,Hungary etc from your 6 million figure.. Most of Europe was occupied you know. I'm being facetious.

I don't know anything about the church you went to. It could be the best one in the world. It could be the worst. Doesn't matter. What guides a person is, there religion, it doesn't have to be in a building with other people. I am not criticizing you. I am offering (unsolicited advice). No matter what anybody has done, brother-in-law or other, holding a grudge only hurts the one that holds it. I know better than offer (unsolicited advice), but sometimes I don't listen to my own advice. I have added you and your brother-in-law to my prayer list. BTW Billy Graham is not someone I would associate with.

The post that referenced the space race was not one of my finest :o I was too damned annoyed at yet another American suggesting that they came to our rescue out of the goodness of their hearts with the result that I did not write it very clearly or make the point I was trying to, but as it is a digression from the thread I will just quit.

As an American, I am also annoyed when someone says it's the American's that won the war. It was, and and needed to be a joint effort. I don't think America could have done it alone. Neither am I thrilled when anyone denies our contribution. I may have watched too many war movies, so somebody corect me if I am wrong, but wasn't D-Day invasion decision made with Eisenhower and the British counterparts. If so, then any credit or blame goes to both sides.

Are the 'Maniac Teachers and Principle' armed? If not it would seem a tad overkill don't you think...

Obviously some disgruntled parents committee that have taken umbrage over how their tearaway kids have been disciplined...

The original story of course is supposedly to protect both children and staff from wackos coming in . However, you have a point if my humor was true. Some parents let there kids do anything they want and then expect teachers to do the same.

Well thank you blade, I am glad somebody appreciated the humor. However I don't think all the Brits are as appreciative of the 4th as we are. I could be wrong but I do believe there is one on this forum who isn't.
