Please don't lecture me on where on when I can post, I was attacked early in this thread by a Christian who called into question my beliefs and personal feelings. I responded like for like, although oddly enough he and I went on to have a nice chat, even though I still don't accept his version of the ten commandments.

Looks like I've been missing some of the tango today. I sure didn't know what I did was "attack" you on your beliefs and personal feeling. As far as "hating Americans" pointed at you and Colin. I thought I was asking a question more than making a statement. I have read yours and Colins remarks about American and Americans, and came to the conclusion that these two guys sure have a lot of negative things to say about us so they must hate us, but the very next response on my part was to say "hate was too strong of a word." I never meant to come across as attacking and if that's the way you took it then please accept my apology. My wife tells me often that I came from a background that teases rough and talks rough so I guess no matter how soft I try to come across, I must still have an edge to me.

Bottom line. I just thought I was joining in, not attacking so I'm sorry you took it that way.

I really didn't think that question was directed at him as an attack or an insult either because I know how they come across with their comments. But, admittedly, I guess I wasn't looking at it from the receiving end.

I do have issues with some aspects of American culture and way of life it's true, but I also have issues with certain aspects of our own country and are frequently and equally critical of it.
It's true that I'm anti Bush and Bliar, I believe what they did in our name in Iraq was criminal, it will be many many years before either of our countries regain any credibility in the international world.
Anyway it's water under the bridge, you needn't apologise, by the end of the post I came to enjoy conversing with you, I look foward to the next one.

Yes, tempers do flare every so often, but then everyone gets back to normal. I really didn't construe ShaneMan's comments as an attack which is why I thought Rich's comment came out of left field.

OK wise guy, when you finely get tired of just guessing what life is like here, and you decide to take a plane ride over I’ll take you skeet shooting. I think at that point you will have an appreciation for American sports.
