Consider Taylor Swift. Harris wants to punish price gougers. Swift is a billionaire (flying her private carbon spewing jet) by price gouging her fans. Harris will never expose her overpaid Hollywood supporters for price gouging and demand that their income be reduced to reasonable levels.

Seems to me that in the Nixon era - 1970/71 to be exact - we had some price- and wage-fixing for a while. Lasted about 90 days with the intent to combat inflation. Didn't work for the avowed purpose. Prior to that, we've had some form of price/wage controls during the world wars but otherwise, no.
