Pay your bills

when the main argument seems to be that "your guy" is worse than mine.
That isn't the argument at all. You have been convinced by the constant barrage of negativity that Trump is the evil orange man. A lot of that noise is specifically intended to bury the anti-American and Anti-Constitutional edicts coming out of the Biden White House and DOJ. You can find the truth if you search for it with open eyes. You don't have to personally like Trump to see that he was/will be a far better President than any we've had for years. You just have to get past the parts of his personality that "offend" you. If the world thinks he is a bully, who cares. That probably kept the problem people like Putin in line while Trump was President.

That is as completely incorrect as is humanly possible. This is exactly the kind of rhetoric that proves just how effected people are by Trump mania.

It doesn't surprise me that it's allegedly incorrect.

Col, please tell us WHY it doesn't surprise you. Is it because it relates to a comment from Pat Hartman? You KNOW that you are under closer scrutiny now after you and Pat got into a tiff.

No. But Its nothing to do with Pat. So don't get out your pram. I just agree with Thales.

NATO appeared in this thread. Ran across this video that the US, by expanding NATO, eventually provoked Putin to invade the Ukraine. Biden/Harris actually taunted Putin to invade the Ukraine. So one could say that Biden/Harris were the spark that started the war, even though it was Putin who did the actual invasion.

the general expansion of nato around Russia definitely contributed, I think.

I mentioned that years ago when this conflict started. The US has a long history of reneging on our promises to Russia. The problem is that the promises were always verbal and never formal contracts approved by Congress so new Presidents can ignore the old agreements if they want to.

I don't believe that Russia needs to be our enemy. If we can convince them that we are not a threat, we can get back to peace in the region. But, it may be too late to fix our relationship depending on how beneficial China and Iran are as the current "friends" of Russia. The weak Biden/Harris administration populated by warmongers has done terrible things for world harmony. Trump has a very hard job of trying to fix everything that Biden (or whoever is our current President) broke.

You've graduated to repeating Russian propaganda now?

Russia wanted Kamala to win. Is that the propaganda you're talking about;)

Maybe if you cracked a history book or bothered to understand current events, you would have a more rational perspective. Russia is not the enemy. China is the enemy. The USSR was the enemy. That doesn't make Russia our friend but we have a lot more chance of being actual friends with Russia than we do with China and it would be far better for Europe if we could be actual friends with Russia. Maybe our European buddies can enlighten you regarding the US's failed agreements with Russia regarding the expansion of NATO.

Yes, Russia invaded Ukraine. They didn't need to do that but the expansion of NATO has been threatening Russia since the wall came down and the US has broken every promise we've made. Are you disputing that? Biden didn't need to rub Russia's nose in it. And once Russia did invade, Biden didn't need to prevent Ukraine from attempting to actually win the war. In the early days, if the Ukraine had gone all in, they had a fighting chance. Now, they'll be lucky to end up as a country at all. Biden wanted the war. For reasons beyond my understanding, the progressives felt that type of unrest would give them a better chance at beating Trump. They were wrong.

Equate the expansion of NATO with the Chinese incursion into countries in Central and South America and how that impacts our security here in the US. Are you OK with the Chinese placing nukes all around us? At some point, we are going to have to challenge them because they will have put us into the exact same position that NATO put Russia in. Or should we roll over and play dead?
