So one has to cross a sea to travel meaningfully, hmm, A French man going to China by travelling East has not gone overseas, however if he goes via the US then its OK , Life could get very complicated, perhaps the US citizens could loop out over the Carribean to get to Cancun.

Technically, depending on your orgininating flight and flight path, you may have to fly over a bunch of water to get there, and that might qualify for "overseas" (gulf of Mexico).
And also technically since you have fly over an ocean to get to the U.K. (from the U.S.) and that would be OverOcean, than the U.K. is not Over Seas

My point is, if you can claim that as a counter argument, then "Violent crime rate in America continues steep decline-USA Today". Pretty soon there will be no murders in the USA, and no christians in the UK. I'll be happy here, and you will be happy there. yay!

I was watching a movie the other day (before you start, yes, it was a British movie) and in one scene, there was a romantic momement on the street, in London, during what I perceived as late evening (9:00 or so) and the lovebirds were completely alone. No one else in sight. I thought, surely not...I can't imagine finding anywhere deserted at 9PM on a NY street...or Pittsburgh, or Philly. You Brits really roll up the sidewalks that early?
