Tea is running late so I am back, Ken; Rich and Col will be pleased to hear that, however I think that in some circumstances it is, food is certainly one of them. I wouldn't dream of commenting on the food of a country I haven't visited and would qualify my remarks on one that I had as my experience would still be limited.

I would say its quite a bit more than an undertone. A couple of weeks ago, ABC did a hidden camera experiment. They had three white teenagers vandalizing a car in a parking lot where there was lots of foot traffic. Only one person confronted them and nobody called the police even though dozens of people saw what was happening. Then they repeated the experiment with three black teenagers and almost every single observer called the police. But that wasn't the shocking part. The shocking part was that while the white teenagers were vandalizing the car, they also staged three black men sleeping in another car on the other side of the parking lot. Even though no-one called the police about the white teenagers that were actively vandalizing a car, THREE people called the police about "suspicious" black men sleeping. This is a perfect example of the way black people are treated and viewed in the U.S.

We know the way blacks are treated in the states. We've seen it in the aftermath of Katrina where the blacks are now a side-show exhibit for the bus tours.
The US government care nothing for their plight - it's blamed on slow insurance payouts, but it's odd that the twin towers spouses get $5 million and the New Orleans blacks get nothing.
Incidentally the betting in the UK is now 7-1 that Obama will be assassinated if he gets in. Sounds like a good bet to me, I may have a flutter.

It is a little aridbut still grows far more than could ever be grown in postage stamp size England and heaps more resources.
You seem obsessed with the size of Australia v the UK, what are you trying to prove? No-one is saying the UK grows more crops or has more oil or whatever. Why drone on about it.
Most of Australia is desert, why do you think the inhabitants hog the coastline in Oz - it's because the rest is uninhabitable.

No, I mean that his mother was white. I always find it curious that if a person has one white parent and one black person, they are automatically called black. He is at least as white as he is black, if not more considering that his mother is the one who raised him.

True he's not a true black but as you say he's always referred to as black - guess that's what the USA populace sees in him.
Anyway, he's on the CIA hit list, and there are too many powerful people in the USA to allow even a half-caste to tell them what to do.
Do Mothers in the USA raise their kids? - I get the impression they're farmed out all day so the parents can amass money and materialistic goods. Kids appear to be a hinderance.
