Trump Administration Predictions (4 Viewers)

I don't count campaign promises not kept as lies - campaign promises are just fluff of what they hope to accomplish and I feel everyone knows that.
But, don't get me wrong - I'm not averse to admitting he has lied about some things, I just need something different. Maybe Zelensky's approval rating would be a good example that there's not much way to spin other than a lie.
He was already President.

Why do you constantly go to the edge of the unive

Because that's where the cool kids hangout:cool:
you mean the ones without answers.

How is adding tariffs to steel and aluminum going to fix our problems?

Y'all all say I write half truths , or liberal nonsense, but not one of you (except Doc) actually ever engage in the economic conversation. Ok Isaac does some too.

I am the first to admit I have no answers, I only have opinions.

Trump will not come to an agreement with Putin on a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Putin intended from the start to take over Ukraine and nothing will deter him. It does appear that he is not restricted financially due to the sale of fossil fuels. It is claimed he is suffering huge losses but that never bothered Lenin, Stalin and maybe Putin himself. Dictators tend to regard the lives of others of little or no importance.
As substantial areas of Ukraine already speak Russian as their main language. I don't see why they aren't asked if they want to remain in Ukraine, or merge with Russia. Nobody seems to be asking the question and this has been bumbling along since 2014. How we can all be reimbursed I have no idea. It will be decades before Ukraine is rebuilt, never mind in a position to pay its debts.
In the First War, Britain paid huge sums to assist various European countries but never saw a penny paid back.

One problem for us is that we have a useless PM, who is unpopular and is trying to project himself as a World player. When actually Starmer is trying to ingratiate himself with a view for future earnings in America after he is voted out, or resigns in a few years time. He is shooting his mouth off and throwing Britain's dwindling wealth around for his own benefit. Bliar did the same. Running around after Bush like a little lapdog, which paid off when he resigned early. Britain didn't benefit then either.

Paying 90% is not fair in the least and is precisely why any sane wealthy person would pack up and leave to a more favorable country.
Companies already do this. All our drug manufacturing companies moved to Ireland. Although, that was for two reasons.
1. Corporate taxes
2. Shelter from lawsuits

What foreign nation or government are we at war with?
Presidents have invoked the provision in the past without a declaration of war. War doesn't have to mean guns and blood. Any country that deliberately sends us its criminals has committed an act of war. Any country that facilitates this invasion as Mexico and the Central American countries have has committed an act of war. The only reason I would not have immediately declared war on Mexico and the countries of Central America is because the Biden administration actively invited the invasion and itself collaborated with our enemies to facilitate it for their own nefarious reasons.

Why do you constantly go to the edge of the universe?
Because you are all in for accepting the tariffs imposed on us by others but refuse to consider enacting reciprocal tariffs. Trump is trying to fight fire with fire. And in the meantime, the government collects the tariff money. Trump's problem is that he says the "quiet part" out loud and that is all you hear. You don't hear the actual reason for imposing tariffs. You only hear is remarks on the potential windfall should they actually b e collected which they have been in the case of China.

More like what the original Americans did aganst England. Or what Theodore Roosevelt did with the 19th century Robber Barons.

Do you always think in such extremes? Or, do you just save that solely for this outlet?

Only to counter YOUR extreme views.

He probably doesn't need to personally sign the bills that rename schools and military bases from "old white guys" to "new black guys" names.

That is mostly done at the local level anyway. Or at least, in south Louisiana it is.

"I'm not averse to admitting he has lied about some things, ", Issac
@Issac, I'm interested in hearing what exactly you think Trump has deliberately lied about. There is a difference between an opinion and a lie that the left never seems to recognize. And an exaggeration is not a lie per se. Saying legislation is a few weeks away isn't a lie. He is surely repeating what Congress has told him. We should ask our liberal members here - if they repeat the lies they hear from the media and the Democrats, are they telling lies? Or are they simply misinformed? Lie is a very strong and negative word. A lie must be a deliberate mis-truth. You KNOW what the facts are and you tell someone something different.

He seems to be making progress.

The text quoted by Mike K. CLEARLY reads in part, "any invasion or predatory incursion" but that clause does not include "war with a nation". I agree that a "declared war" would certainly count. But that pesky 2nd clause about incursions doesn't have the same requirements. We have an invasion of predators who want a taste of our money but don't want to follow the immigration laws in order to qualify. I'm sorry for them that their original country was a hell-hole or a :poop: hole. But don't come here and bring your victim mentality with you. Come here legally. I'll be happy to help by giving you work. One of our home "handy-man" contractors hires LEGAL but recent immigrants. He makes it a point that he checks their status - but I can say I have NO QUALMS about giving his company business when we have home repairs to consider.

Speaking of Louisiana, I read something interesting recently. After Katrina when all the schools got shut down, New Orleans created a charter school system and all children now get to go to charter schools.

While not at war in the traditional sense, the more important part of the alien enemies act has to do with the OR part which doesn't have to include a formal declaration of war. You know, the INVASION part, which is most definitely happened in record numbers during the Biden Administration. The guy refused to enforce the sovereignty of our border and now the mess has to be cleaned up as a matter of foreign policy.

It is true that part of this invasion happened under Trumps first term in office as well, but he was doing everything he could under the circumstances to combat the problem, while democrats tried to pull all of that Russian Collusion mumbo jumbo on him and destroy everyone that supported him. This time he is unencumbered by all of that nonsense and can actually run the country just as we elected him to do.

Furthermore, the foreign enemies need only threaten the United States to fall under the powers of this act. Read it again and pay attention this time.

To amplify Pat's comment, China has for many years been manipulating their currency to pay their balance-of-trade bills with devalued money. We used to get briefings on issues to consider if any of us had to do any overseas traveling. That issue - rapidly fluctuating currency - was one of the many warnings we got because it would affect credit card payments.

Another is - DON'T take your real electronics. They will get hacked.

Truth - for Orleans Parish but not for the surrounding parishes. (Remember, we use Parish where others use County.) As it happens, the city limits of New Orleans exactly match the parish boundaries of Orleans Parish. Many of the schools in New Orleans are good schools - but the best ones are private because - as is sadly true for many places, more highly qualified teachers work for the private schools. Orleans Parish School Board has a tough row to hoe, as the country saying goes. For better or worse, SOME of the OPSB schools are improving. But Katrina not only scattered the poor residents of the city. She also scattered teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc. And many of them will not be back.

Which is why my cell phone DOES NOT have anything except my calendar of appointments and my contacts list. And a couple of passive apps I can use to monitor my generator status. I do NOTHING financial on a cell phone. It is, for me, a communications device that includes the ability to show me weather forecasts and exchange messages. And I delete all messages involving 2-factor verification after I'm done.
