Makes no sense at all. There may be plenty of life forms 'higher' than man. That doesn't make them supernatural any more than steel being harder than gold makes it supernatural.

Incorrect.

Is there a direct relationship? Back when there was a higher proportion of people who believed in him, everything was fine, people just didn't realise it. As the percentage of believers decreased, the amount of bad things increased.

What have we had that equals The Flood?

As you will see it does relate to this thread and much more than you might realise.

Would you agree that we put firstname, middlename and lastname on the customer's record because they are unique descriptions of the customer.

Second quetion. If the customer changed his name, would you replace the entries for firstname etc in the customer record in the main table or would you now have another table with two records for the customer and remove the fields firstname etc from the main table.
Clearly they are not unique descriptions of the customer since the customer can change his name. Also you might have two different customers both called "John Alfred Smith".
You should have a separate table of names that link to the customer/prospect table and also have a address table linking as well. Both the Name and Address tables should have fields showing at which period they were valid.

However the important thing is that you don't store the same information twice or you can get inconsistencies in your data.

That would depend on the complexity of the db and the need for historical records, again this has nothing to do with this thread

Rabbie,

Unique descriptions for that customer of the all the descriptions in his record.

Unless I am reading you incorrectly you would have one table with all the firstname, middlename and lastname and an ID field.

Incorrect.
Thanks for that reasoned response.

Do you genuinely believe that if a being has abilities beyond our own or which we can't currently explain, that makes them supernatural?

It doses as you will see.

Even if you keep historical records would you still have the person's current names in the main table.

Or put it another way, in most DBs where the main entity is a person would regard having firstname, middlename and lastname as part of the customers record as generally satisfying normalisation.

Incorrect.
A more advance life form than humans would not be supernatural if it had evolved from other beings. As usual you are twisting your definitions to suit your own argument. Not a great advert for your intellectual honesty

Like I said if it was for historical purposes it would just be archived

We have never had anything that equals the events described as The Flood (and that includes The Flood itself).

So how can this be true......As the percentage of believers decreased, the amount of bad things increased.

Sadly I think that is the case

I don't think it is true. Less people seem to be religious today than they were, but it has no bearing on what happens to them.

Whether people are using science or magic as an explanation for the things around them has no bearing on whether somebody else is going to attack them or their home is going to be wiped out by a natural disaster. The suggestion that bad things happen because god is in a sulk is ridiculous.
