Not the point. This was blatantly political. Have you ever seen a prosecutor bail people out of jail for looting, burning, and destruction of property?
Harris loves to proclaim with great fanfare that she is a tough aggressive prosecutor who follows the law. So why do we have X million illegal immigrants here? Also consider that she has been the border czar for nearly four years. Yet she has not fixed the issue. She has no interest in following the law nor in stopping the illegal immigrant invasion.

PS: If it is simply an issue of the "presumption of innocence thing" she should be helping those arrested for Jan 6th, the fact that she is not reinforces the issue that she is implementing a political agenda. Burning down cities by left wing agitators is OK, but protesting at the US Capital is not. Harris must not believe in applying the law equally (as she should). To paraphrase Orwell: some are equal under the law, others not.

Just to add some off-beat humor to this discussion. The Electoral College, one could say was an early form of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Giving the disenfranchised (the rural communities) and equal voice in society. Supporters of DEI should be embracing the concept of the Electoral College!

But Congress is so tied up with TDS that they are currently ineffective. The recent revocation of the "Chevron Deference" policy is going to forever change the lives of executive branch bureaucrats because of the lawsuits that will be filed against those agencies - all of which are beholden to the President, not Congress. But the executive branch is only supposed to enforce the laws that Congress made. If you take a look at the current furor over gun rights, that is just a small example of an Executive agency, the Bureau of the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives), creating law where there was none. Their "frames and receivers" rule and their age limits on owning a gun are two examples of a rule that wasn't passed by Congress. Two out of DOZENS. The bureaucrats are running the country and THAT is the "deep state."
