Gasoline prices are volatile, the dollar is not backed by gasoline, it is backed by petroleum. And the dollar, not a gallon of gasoline, has been stable.

The whole human population knows we are on a trajectory that has some serious pot holes for the human race, the planet's surface, and pretty much everything related to that.

First and foremost, we are gong to have a huge reduction in population, we will either volunteer to have less babies, or it will be visited upon us.
We have been witnessing the moving up from the bottom, for the very poorest people on earth. 69% of the people now have cell phones. We have also seen the wealthiest percentage of ownership of the world's wealth increase at unimaginable rates.

The answer is that as the middle class in America continues to decline, what do you do about it. Pat and Doc would have you lesson the laws governing these entities and give them even more. Making it where every human system is repurposed to make the wealthiest wealthier.

Until only they have income, or wealth, (the wealth part is already happening, the income part is coming). When that happens, how will things get done on this planet that are not a direct benefit to the Capitalist? Like the poor people having food, for example?


There are several paths ahead of us, but this root cause is coming. I say if only the wealthiest have income than only they will pay income tax.

Your statement means you don't understand humanity's drive to achieve. The raging natural instinct for survival means that the one who accumulates the most survival tokens (whatever they are) wins in the same evolutionary race in which all species and all members of each species participate.

Our atmospheric pollution issues and a lot of other issues would be solved if we weren't so good at helping people survive their diseases. The level of atmospheric pollutants, whether or not that level contributes to global climate change, is driven by the number of people who need energy to survive, and the best way for poor people to develop energy for cooking or heating is by burning something.

COVID-19 was just Mother Nature pushing a little on the population, but the one that REALLY was effective was Yersinia pestis, also known as the Black Plague. If the world has any real problems it is because we are overpopulated and thus folks have to drive harder to accumulate wealth. And the folks who cannot do this are cursed with shorter, more miserable lives.

I will state clearly and emphatically that my wife and I DO regularly contribute to food-bank charities because I DO want to help others - but I have to watch out for helping to the point that I damage our own survival interests. It's a balancing act - how much can I help, how long before helping hurts? How much can I help before I no longer have the capacity to provide that help? So don't accuse me of lacking sympathy. I attempt to help where and when I think I can.

I love it when an arrogant person forgets that the level 101 course touches on the most basic of principles; principles that are NOT obviated by graduate level courses. The higher level courses give you details but the lower level courses give you basic rules. Sometimes all you need to know ARE the basics.
