I'm happy that anyone who is that stupid is fleeing the country. It is a huge disappointment that all those people who threatened to leave the country if Trump won haven't left yet. It increases the average IQ of the remaining population.

Encouraging the Senate to vote to pull tariffs is downright idiotic unless you think it is fair that Canada can tariff imports from the US but the US is not allowed to tariff imports from Canada.

I'm actually sorry for you. You just don't get it. Several of us have tried to explain "reciprocal" to you but we cannot understand it for you and apparently those in the Senate who support this move can't understand the meaning of "reciprocal" either.

Trump wants free trade. He'll settle for tariffs that make us money. The pain for US consumers will be short lived.
Is there no uncharted depth that will prove to be rock bottom for you.

The scientist in this survey are thinking of leaving their home in the same way the Jews wanted to leave Germany on the 1930s There is an anti- science dictator wannabe in the White House cutting off funding for one of the core fibers of American greatness. The marriage between The People, Government, Universities, and Industries have created the most innovative society in history.

A society based on immigration as a way to collect the best and the brightest from around the world. Orange head policies are having the opposite effect. And you say great?

Isn't that what you are doing? Think about the last four years and the deafening silence, then come back and talk about brainwashing
He got elected by convincing the swing voters that the Biden Administration was the cause of the inflation. End of story. His 60 million worshipers will support and defend him though any evidence, so they didn't sway the election.
Trump won purely based on people believing things would get better under his leadership.
The evidence of Trump lies are growing. He is unleashing huge taxes on middle America, and giving even more government hand outs to the rich

Again your not addressing the last four years, you guys are in denial. The country was run by a shadow government and your only answer is Trump Trump and more Trump.

Where in the Constitution is it written that the government (i.e. the American suckers) will fund stupid scientific studies?

That's where it is funded. She asked. I answered. Stupid is subject to interpretation.

Well, at least one good thing came from people saying they were going to leave the USA. Rosie O'Donnell went to Ireland.

As usual you only applied a half-truth. While Congress has the authority to fund scientific research, Congress is not obligated to fund scientific. In fact, Congress can withdraw/cancel all funding for scientific research should they desire.

Trump has always promised reciprocal tariffs. But that is easier said than done since we usually have a different list of products we import from a country than we export to that country. So adding a 99% tariff to cars won't work if we don't import cars from them. So, his people came up with a calculation to "average" out their overall tariffs and figure out what would be a responsible counter from us. That was the chart Trump was trying to prevent from being a sail in the Rose Garden yesterday.
And still, you defend the indefensible.

Lets get specific.

I know you think your 7th grade answers to this debate are over my head, as you continuously indicate. But hopefully you're not just projecting, and you can follow along. There are some additional points on the Regan video I posted above, you might actually learn something on that because you won't automatically reject it as coming from a libtard and all.

You tariff steel, and aluminum. Ok on the surface that sound wonderful.

These products are not at the bottom of the supply chain, but they are far down it. The amount of value added going up from here is considerable compared to what it takes to get it to this point.

Here is a link to the Tariff.

Here is a quote from it:

Targeted Products:
The tariffs, imposed under Section 232, cover a wide range of steel and aluminum products, including unwrought aluminum, bars, rods, profiles, wire, plate, sheet, strip, foil, tubes, pipes, and fittings.

As even as you can see, this is nowhere near the finished products.

To the customers of these semi-raw goods, these importers will add the 25% plus a markup.
Each step in the chain will do the same in addition to the first one, and so on, until the retailers add their markup. Maybe as many as five or six times this will happen.

So what if there is not enough capacity in our system to handle that additional volume?
Maybe some of these products are such low volume that we don't even make it here.

This is a tax on consumers, made worse by profit being generated up the chain.

Another part, as Mr. Regan spoke to is that American companies will raise their prices and create more profit on less sales. We know this to be true because that is exactly what building supply companies did during and after Covid. Even going back to the 2000s when they put additional tariffs on Chinese plywood. What we saw then was the same Chinese plywood, at a higher cost, and a huge increase in the cost of domestic plywood.

Ultimately, this is a scheme to reduce taxes on the ultra rich and add it to the American consumers.

And with the idiots we have now, we may see a further erosion of the American Scientific Prowess. We are certainly slipping in the world in health and happiness, why not give up our technological advantages as well?

What made America Great anyway?

So bankrupting the middle class and making them homeless is less important than what Hunter was doing?

I'm not ignoring it? The sewer is backing up into the house, and you are complaining that we are not raving about Biden? Seriously?
