Yes.
Remember Adam and Eve?
Then their children must have been involved in incest, surely a cardinal sin?
Yes.
Remember Adam and Eve?
The Bible portrays god as the loving father
But the central theme is for the next life.
So, taken in combination with post #3, you would class yourself as an agnostic who believes that everything in the bible is true?Yes.

Why not put this one right first?
If you read Genesis there are two conflicting versions of Noah's flood. So it's entirely true? God's word is true and history is, well, history, so the whole book, in spite of how far fetched it is in places is true?
All people DID come from the first two, in spite of there being no women beyond Eve until the story needed them?
The world WAS created in one week, allowing a day for God to cool down and have a rest?
All animals somehow came from two of each, in spite of the possibility of disease, etc. killing them off and the fact that it is impossible to have gathered two of each animal or to have fitted them onto one vessel?
I get it. God can be imagined to do or be anything we want. Therefore, by definition there are never any contradictions or conflicts. We don't know if there were other women. God pulled Adam and Eve out of the hat.
if you tell me that you met Bill Bloggs on the street corner and mention no one else that does not mean there were not other people on the street corner.
But again, God does not need women/sex to produce people.

Why not claim to be a devout atheistic agnostic, and be done with it?
Pretty ropey history. Do the maths. how could he load all the animals in and feed them.

But I still want to know, how are you supposed to know what god's word is, and how are you supposed to submit to it?
You've got someone creating the whole world in under a week, causing a flood that covers the entire earth yet drains away nicely, creating the whole human race from one person (whom he made) and the key weakness you've spotted is in grain storage? If you read Genesis there are two conflicting versions of Noah's flood.
Genesis 6:19 "And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark."
Genesis 7:2 "Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female."
Pretty ropey history. Do the maths. how could he load all the animals in and feed them.
Or some of his self-contradictory ones on this thread (he starts out agnostic and becomes some kind of devout biblical scholar). It all becomes clear. Still, it was fun while it lasted.
You just figured that out now? It's just dawned on me that this is a wind-up. Go back and look at some of Mike's over-the-top racist remarks about aborigines on one of the other threads (definitely not in-keeping with a good little Christian). Or some of his self-contradictory ones on this thread (he starts out agnostic and becomes some kind of devout biblical scholar). It all becomes clear. Still, it was fun while it lasted.
Mike, a friendly word of advice. When you are in a hole stop digging. We don't know if there were other women. God pulled Adam and Eve out of the hat.

ok, so which parts are god's teachings? There is God's teachings. There are events...history if you like.
How can you submit to Peter denying Christ 3 times.
Yes.You just figured that out now?
You are certainly entitled. Congratulations by the way.Yes.
New baby in the house, so I think I'll put it down to lack of sleep.

Most mainstream Christians do not believe in the literal truth of Genesis. They accept it as a creation myth. They recognize the validity of Evolution as you do in some posts when you are not doing your born-again impersonation. This constant shifting of your argument does not strengthen it as you seem to suppose; it merely weakens it.
