God is Evil

even tho' he gives his location as Newbury which is in England. No evidence to suggest he is American - typical or otherwise.

I'm well aware where Newbury is, my sister lives there. Anyway, I said his comment was typically American - no reference to his residence or birthplace, the comment referred to was the usual style of Americans on this forum of name-calling.

However, to stop this becoming boring (for me anyway), if Chergh thinks I am racist then that's his opinion, rightly or wrongly.
Perhaps when his hormones settle down so soon after his puberty and he's got a few years under his belt, he'll realise things can be a little different in real life.

Are you really wanting an area where people can be racist:confused:

I also disagree with racism, fortunately we don't get that much on these forums. I haven't seen any for months.

Col

Typical Colin reply, belittle the other person and ignore all his own racist comments and claims that you disagree with racism. Did you get a BNP handbook teaching you these tactics? because that is what you sound like.

I didn't know they had one let alone what may be in it. Perhaps you can enlighten us as you seem to know.

Is that essential reading at school these days?

The bible has lots of predictions, including all of Revelations. So surely we can assume that God has the power of foresight.

In Genesis, God put the tree in the Garden of Eden, and said Adam and Eve could not eat from it, even though he knew they would. When they did eat the fruit, God punished all them, and their descendent's with Original Sin. How is this not evil?

If you were around a child who loves to stick things in sockets, would you put a fork in the child's hand? No, and if you did you would be evil. I see no difference between the two ideas.

God knew, but his first idea was that everyone should be free to do what they want. Think about it... If your God, why create a planet of robots that do everything you want perfectly. It is only through our freedom to do what we want that we glorify God for not forcing us...

I didnt quote the whole sentence, because it doesn't matter what you say after that. Your posts are ignorant. You assume you are better than everyone else, including an entire country of Americans. This is what I do not like about your posts. 90% of every post I have seen you make has had some belittling comment, sometimes relevant to the thread, but usually not. If I went on rants about the English in every post, I doubt you would stand for it.

@ the new girl.
Wow, finally back on topic. What you said is basically the first point I made. God gives us freedom. But then he punishes us for carrying out on our impulses, impulses that he gave us.

Anyway, Ive posted all I have to say about the topic, so I will go ahead and bow out now.

How can God rustle up an idea if He knows everything in the first place?

Ah... you are hurting my brain!!!

Just because you know something, does not mean you can not have an idea... You have knowledge, but you still think about things you know, right?

So it's an ego thing?
He gives people free will so that they tell him how great he is?

You know what, I can think of no other reason to need people like us then for ego reasons...

I hope my words do not implode the astral or anything... sorry God, I love you.

It sort of does. If you know absolutely everything to start with, you can't have any new ideas.

Those aren't ideas, though, they're thoughts.

Think of it this way. You have a video game... You beat the game already and know everything about it, but you still play it because it is fun.

Same thing with God... I can't think of any other way a God would create life.

Sure, but if you know everything then you can't think of something new can you? Otherwise you wouldn't have known that new idea in the first place.

Just take a look his comments regarding Americans.

Seems to me as though Colin is of the belief that race is a primary determinant of traits and capacities of people. This is racism.

Unless it's changed since I went to school "Americans" as used in this context refers to those who live or come from the United States which is actually a country and not a Race, try calling a Canadian American and see the response you get from them even though they live in the continent of AMERICA

So God gives people free will to do what they want and then punishes them if they don't do what he wants. Sounds a bit sadistic to me
